We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sailor Jacks. Our oceanview room provided wonderful views and fresh, ocean air 24/7. We stayed 3 nights and we were especially pleased that there was an ample supply of coffee and creamer to last our entire stay. We appreciated the dog-friendly hospitality as well; and the beach access, the outdoor sunbathing areas, and fire pits were all wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Checked in at 4:15. Check in was fine, person checking me in explained things well; except that the room was not ready. Waited 30 minutes and we got in. Room was very clean, we had a jetted tub and that was clean. Bed was comfortable. Outstanding view of ocean. Parking is very tight. Vinyl flooring in the room but a broom and dustpan were provided in room. Breakfast options are minimal.

When checking in, you can see construction materials in one of the hallways. The lobby looks like it had a facelift in the front, but it's a mess behind the counter. The room was ok, although there was no closet or any place to put your things down in the room or bathroom. It looked like a newly renovated room, but there weren't even towel racks in the bathroom, so you really had nowhere to put your things. I was traveling for work, and there wasn't even enough space to set my laptop up in the room. The jacuzzi tub was so dirty that we could see a white line where we dragged our finger through the grime, so we skipped that. But the real treat came very early in the morning when a woman with an arrest warrant tried getting into our room and the other rooms on the ground floor. We packed up our stuff while the police arrived to arrest the woman. We found another hotel down the street that was the same price and much nicer, so we left, but not before we were charged a $100 early check-out fee. I should mention that our room was approximately 15-20 feet from the office, and this lady was still allowed to roam around the property and parking lot long enough to break into someone's car in broad daylight at about 8:00 in the morning. Save yourself the hassle and spend a little more, or even the same, at a reputable hotel that doesn't look like it just updated one room to get a listing on Expedia.

Front desk lady when we checked in was bordering on rude. Housekeeping lady’s were nice.Room was clean And the view was great. I just wished we would have known we would be put on the 3rd floor with NO elevator. We are both elderly and had our two little furbabys with us . Needless to say we are pooped. When we come back to the coast we will not be staying here .

Great location on the beach, and the bed was remarkably comfortable. No elevator or staff to help lug luggage up the steps, and small things like scant coffee for my in-room machine. Breakfast is small but nice, but compostable amenities would be better, considering the proximity to this pristine ocean/beach.
