Vrbo was supposed to send out details for check in and never did so I had to contact them to contact the host, and they almost cancelled my stay after driving 8 hours when the host didn’t answer the first attempt. We finally got checked in eventually though. In-Law suite is attached to another unit, but we couldn’t hear any noise and it was overall a nice stay on a nice property. Will probably stay here again next time we are in the area.

Cockroaches and Lies Part 2

Stay away from this property. this was the second apartment I stayed in at this property over 30 days, and the nightmare continued. The first apartment we stayed in with this property had cockroaches. This property also had cockroaches as well as an infestation of ants. The roaches were found in different parts of the apartment, but the ants were swarming over the kitchen. The ants were found in the sink, in the silverware drawer, on the stove, on the counter, and swarming out of an electrical outlet. I never seemed to know if I was talking to the owner, a property manager or the person cleaning the apartments. The responses seemed to all come from the same account. Someone appeared to offer a 20% discount for the first apartment we stayed in. In reality she "asked the owner but got no response". Rather than following up with the owner, the whole matter was ignored hoping I wouldn't notice. I wouldn't trust any offer for a discount if your trip is inconvenienced by the disgusting conditions. Messages seemed to go unanswered. One response we got was "Has [Pest Control] been contacted between 8:41 pm and 6:54 am? No they haven't." The owner/manager/whatever failed to notice they had promised to get back to us 4 days prior. The whole episode has tarnished VRBO for me. This whole stay was unclean, not helpful, confusing, and full of poor communication. I hope others will learn from our mistake.

Great location to get to the race in Talladega

Lovely area right on the lake. Everything you would need to stay in the places. The only thing we were worried about is that we had not heard from anyone . I had messaged three times in the week with no answer so we were hoping everything was going to be ok. We asked another holiday maker staying near us and managed to make contact. We finally got the code for the door at about 4pm. After that it was great. Thank you ..

Laid back and relaxed

The property was off the beaten path tucked away on a beautiful lake. The property manager was on site and curtious. We felt like we had a private and secluded space to relax and bbq with friends. 10 out of 10 would stay again.

Wir blieben lediglich 5 Minuten vor Ort, denn es handelte sich um ein fast fensterloses Appartment, das in eine Scheune gebaut wurde. Es gab ein klitzekleines Fenster, das aber zur Hälfte von einer Klimaanlage eingenommen wurde. Kein Ausblick, kein Seeblick. Wer nur dort schlafen möchte und kein Problem mit Klappbetten hat, möge dort verweilen. Die Betten und das Bad schienen sauber zu sein. Das Grundstück war an sich okay, aber ich möchte meinen Urlaub nicht in einem lichtlosen Loch verbringen. Der Kontakt war ansich problemlos auf Nachfrage nach teilweiser Rückerstattung wurde allerdings nicht eingegangen. Fazit: 300$ für die Besichtigung einer größeren Abstellkammer ausgegeben aber um eine Erfahrung reicher.
