Very well located, large apartment in central Lisbon

Large and comfortable apartment in a central location in Lisboa.Large rooms, comfy furniture.Missing some equipment in comparison to other apartments rented recently:1. Only two rolls of toilet paper provided for a family of four for 6 nights! Not enough.2. There is a dishwasher without dishwasher soap!3. You provide hand dish soap to clean a few plates once or twice
 not enough for 6 nights. Also, there is no sink stopper, making a lot of water waste.4. There is an oven without anything to take out hot plates off it! Oven mitts would be helpful!Otherwise, we recommend this unit for renting!

Pretty good but missing some things.

I’ll start off by saying, the location of this apartment was fantastic. It’s on the street that separates the old city from the new. It was a great spot to use for people who mostly rely on foot commuting. There are many great restaurants near by and the water/shopping district is really close. Overall our stay was great and the owners got back to us pretty quickly (the air conditioner in the main bedroom started leaking and they sent someone over that day to fix it) but there were definitely some things that needed to be dealt with. First off, the apartment definitely needed a deep clean with attention to detail. There were some dirty handprints on the walls and it was pretty obvious that guests had been using the decorative pillows for sleeping. The bathroom unfortunately smelled like sewer and even with the fan going 24hrs a day it didn’t really go away. We also noticed that all of the caulking in the bathroom desperately needs to be replaced as the seal around the toilet and the shower are non existent. We happened to be in Portugal during the mass power outage and there weren’t any emergency supplies in the apartment (flashlight/candles) so we did have to go buy those during our stay. As for basics, it would have been nice if there were a few items for guests to use. Instant coffee, oil/salt/pepper, a broom, soap for the dishwasher just to name a few. We would stay here again, we just hope the owners would put a little more love in the space.

great architecture and location of the property - disappointed with the overall cleanliness

We really liked the architecture and location of the property—both are truly impressive and promising. However, we were quite disappointed with the overall maintenance and cleanliness.Several things were broken or poorly maintained: the door handle was loose, the trash can wasn’t fixed in place, and the window joints were damaged. More concerning was the cleanliness. The toilet and toilet brush were dirty upon arrival, and the floors didn’t seem to have been cleaned properly—we took our shoes off indoors, and our socks quickly became dirty.The basement room with the trash cans was overflowing with dirt and waste.Given the number of apartments and the daily revenue this property likely generates, we were surprised and disappointed that there’s no on-site facility manager. Having someone to oversee basic maintenance and cleanliness seems like a necessary and easily affordable solution.

The good * Very well located and quite nice. * Joivy is very responsive over chat in the Vrbo app. The bad * We had plumbing issues. Main one: the bathroom had a very strong sewer smell. While Joivy was quick to respond, the technician was able to solve none of our issues. * Building front door lock doesn't click unless you pull on it once it's closed. Since many guests don't notice, which leaves the building door unlocked daily. * Apartment front door didn't always close properly. Once in a while, the latch stays stuck and may the door unlocked if one is not careful. * We actually got robbed. It's not clear to us if the problem was the easy to guess code, or an instance of the front door not latching properly. * Self-serve check-in links and backup code didn't work. I had to scramble finding a local SIM card to call them to receive receive assistance. Luckily, they could change the code remotely. * Missing a lot of convenience items that great place just include to reduce hassle: no salt, pepper, coffee, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, etc. It's an extra hassle extra 20-50 euros to buy the basics that you might not be able to bring back home (in such case you "gift them to the cleaning staff I guess"). Overall, no employee in the building maximizes owner profit, but for the renter, it means mediocre service. Most of the issues we encountered would have been identified and fixed by an on-site employee very rapidly (ex. front door).

Great Location!

The apartment was wonderful! Only a couple of problems--the code system is difficult. Management quickly answered and helped us get in. The bathroom had a sewage smell. We did not request maintenance but just kept the door closed.

Great location

Spacious apartment in the heart of Lisbon. Easy access to all tourist destinations and trains station. My biggest issue was the air conditioning. There was only one unit in the living room and one in one bedroom. The other bedroom was hot and the apartment is noisy at night when the windows are open. Otherwise, it was a great place.

Property management was very responsive and apartment is well located for site seeing. Apartment was clean and larger than expected Strong sewer smell in bathroom. Property management tried to address with deodorizer with limited success. In room AC unit (bedroom) dripped water on floor. Used pan to catch. Very Annoying. Elevator not working which was only a problem with carrying luggage Hoping management can address these issues as this is a wonderful place otherwise

Beautiful apartment

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment for 4 days at the end of June, beginning of July. Great location! The building is old but beautiful, the apartment has everything that you could need! I really appreciated that I could pay a little extra for them to buy some grocery staples for us before we arrived. That was awesome! Cannot recommend enough!

Altido, where are you?

The flat one actually stays in is quite satisfactory. The building is old (no surprise) and the street entry area looks more like the entry to a store room than an upscale rental. The building had partial electrical outages two of the six days we were there making the lift (important for me personally) and internet inaccessible for a time each day. Altido, the property managers, were responsive but could do little without technical help. Oh, and Altido is working on changing to a keyless entry system and their initial information to me included a wrong door access code which made for a frustrating multi-hour wait on the front end of my visit. All that said, I'd recommend the 2 bedroom flat in question.

Very nice!

What a great apartment. Clean, modern, sizable, comfortable... great location too. The building is old as expected but once you open the door its a very nice surprise. We never met the owner nor property manager. Basically you open the doors using codes and phone access via links. Very easy. Easy walk downhill to the center of Lisbon (Praca do Comercio and other locations like the Se and St Anthony church). Cheap taxi rides to other locations (less than 12 Euros to Belem, St Jorge Castle, ...) Enjoyed our stay.

Great way to experience Lisbon by living in a local area

We loved the space for 3 adults. Terrace was nice and food shopping very accessible. Only recommendation was to have a shorter key code for the smart lock. It was 10 plus digits and not super easy to remember.
