During our stay, after the first night of our 3 night stay the room was run down, not very clean and we were not happy with the location of the room in the building. The next day there was construction in the lobby and the sound resonated up the stairwell to our room. When we went down for lunch we couldn’t stay in the restaurant because of the unbearable noise of a jackhammer . When we went to the front desk, they handed us a card to contact complaints. That was unhelpful, as we could barely hear the concierge. The jack hammer was breaking up tiles floor at the entrance to the restaurant and the Lobby area. It was extremely dangerous as my husband is a safety inspector and pointed it out to the desk. They initially seemed unwilling to do anything. Until my husband pointed out that the decibels were well beyond what staff and patrons can safely be exposed to. After much deliberation, they offered to refund us the rest of our stay. We did not ever receive that refund as it was through Expedia. They assured us we would get it regardless and would refund my credi card on file. I have yet to receive it and it has been 2 weeks.
