Not the greatest area to stay in. Our view from our window was a homeless camp.
The room very small and shower toilet in same room just separated by a screen . Room was clean, bed very comfy but old leak patches on ceiling.
Room service food overpriced .
The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there was a terrible smell of drains in both rooms 11 and 12 for the 2 rooms we booked. This made it difficult to sleep due to the smell. I did mention it to the lady on reception who said that she would refund both our rooms by 20% but have not had anything through from you.
The room was small but well thought out so it didn't feel too boxy. Bathroom was brand new and the shower was excellent! We found the bed very small for two people but the mattress was comfortable. AC/Heating worked well. The TV was switched on via an ipad and that didn't work in our room, but we did not miss it. Reception staff was excellent and went out of their way to help out with whatever was needed. Location is excellent, right next to Euston Sq station so would definitely stay again for a London trip
We had an excellent time at this hotel, esp. after we were moved to a larger, brighter twin room than the original one (our first night). Although there weren't many places to hang or put clothing in either room, the shower was great and everything worked well. (The TV in both rooms we experienced was tiny though and I could hardy see it from the bed.) I realize that the size and format of the rooms varies considerably within the hotel and even within a category. The staff were very accommodating and the (paid) breakfast was great. Although there's an elevator in the hotel, be ready to drag yourself and your suitcases up quite a few stairs to get into the hotel. The location is fantastic and the windows are well sound-proofed.
Property was within easy distance to Euston Station even with walking support. Hotel was pleasant as were the staff.
I think that upon checking in, it would have been useful to explain the 3rd person surcharge for a double room as there wasn’t room to swing a cat. The room was noisy but to be expected in central London.
The bar/restaurant seemed nice but there were a few unsavoury looking characters coming in & out swapping phones behind the bar which made us feel uncomfortable.
We had breakfast on our first morning but we decided to cancel. The second morning as we didn’t feel it was value for money and we sought breakfast elsewhere. Would we stay again? Possibly not, there are plenty of other hotels to try first unless they were all full of course.
The hotel is in a good location for those who like to walk and take in their surroundings. It's only a very short walk from Euston station which is great. We weren't aware of the roadworks going on outside the hotel prior to arrival and it was quite noisy early in the morning, as it was overall.
I cannot fault the staff who were friendly and kindly allowed us to store our luggage once checked out, whilst we had a few hours to kill waiting for the train.
The room was not worth the money we paid, and the added service charge we had to pay on arrival. The blind was dirty and mouldy, the woodwork in the bedroom was rotting from the shower and smelled damp. The main shower head wasn't working properly and the pipes to the detachable shower head were mouldy and splitting. There were holes in the towels and the room itself was all scuffed and marked across the walls. The bed was comfy enough, it just overall wasn't worth the cost.
