I really enjoyed my stay at Hampton by Hilton London City. The room was spotless and the bathroom bright and clean. The shower was excellent. I also like the toiletries which were without chemicals. Breakfast was a great buffet and very nice staff. Haris one of the staff was very kind and smiley and offered great service. The only thing I'd add was the TV didn't operate on my 2nd day which was odd and I couldn't get an answer from reception when I called (but it was 10pm when I'd got back). Other than that it was perfect. A very quiet room even though it was close to the lift I didn't hear anything.

Staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was very good. There was lots of fruit but also bacon and sausages, cheese, scrambled eggs, waffles, and salad. It was simple food but there was plenty, it was well presented, and the staff kept things replenished and tables continuously cleared. The scrambled eggs I think were reconstituted which was okay but I thought worth mentioning. The room was very clean and well thought out. Lots of places to hang and put things and stay organized. Our “view” was of an inner outside mechanical area. We appreciated the natural light but could only see other hotel windows. The area is great. Very close to the Aldgate East tube station and many restaurants. Would stay again though would try for a room with a view if staying longer than a night. Overall a very good experience.

The room was very comfortable. I was travelling with 2 of my sons. We were fortunate to be given a free upgrade to a room with 2 queen beds (we’d booked a small family room). The location of the hotel was excellent, a couple of minutes walk from the tube. There were plenty of fantastic places to eat within walking distance and the area was lively and bohemian. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in London with children.
