I was very disappointed with my stay at Hyatt Place Heathrow. It us conveniently located within 10 min bus ride to the airport. The bust stop was also right in front which is nice. However the staff service was subpar. The front receptionists were not knowledgeable and very rude. When we checked in for our reservation which was made at least 6-8 weeks prior, the hotel staff said it was cancelled. They stated the reason was because payment didn’t go through after I booked via Expedia and that they tried to reach out to me but there was no response. This was in fact, not true at all. I didn’t receive any communication of the cancellation and two weeks prior to my travels, I actually got a booking confirmation for the reservation. I contacted Expedia immediately and an online associate told me that the reason Hyatt canceled was because of availability. I showed the message to the Hyatt receptionist and she confirmed that they don’t have availability. I told her this was unacceptable as I had traveled from the US and made these reservations ahead of time as this was my first time visiting England and I wanted to have secure lodging. The receptionist had no empathy. After making a fuss, she called her manager and then said there was suddenly availability. I found this response and attitude unacceptable. Throughout the stay, the elevators went out of service and systems had also gone down. Don’t stay here!
