We have stayed here a few times now and love it. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and clean. The breakfast really sets you up for the day with the huge choice and lovely food. The staff work hard at keeping all the choices fully stocked. The connections into London are good. Well worth a visit.

The staff at the Clarendon Hotel were all lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with good quality food. My room had a lovely view facing the green / heath, was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows, but unfortunately was very cold when I arrived at 2pm and was not particularly warm overnight, even though the radiator had been turned up to MAX. It was unfortunate that the temperatures were sub-zero outside and the windows were single glazed (possibly due to the hotel building being listed?). Hence 4 stars rather than 5.

We have been staying at this hotel at least once a year as our daughter lives 330 steps away. Always a clean room and great staff. We are saddened to learn the hotel will be converting to an elder care facility in September.

Excellent service and room. The only problem was my room had a bathroom without a light switch. When I got up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, whivh happens at least 3 times the bathroom light goes on automatically, as does the fan. These both thrn stay on for at least 5 mins after I get back into bed, preventing me from gettjng back to sleep. Then, by the time the fan goes off, the noise has woken me up properly meaning I cznnot get back to sleep. Therefore as a result I did not sleep well at all

Hotel was not clean carpet dirty Once we got the room there were no soaps in the bathroom and in last day there is no water in the room or bathroom it was not the good experience to stay. I wish they can refund our stay.
