This was a very surprisingly wonderful visit, only one night but it was reasonably priced, very clean, updated outlets, pool area nice and clean and bed was comfortable. Thank you.

Mr. Whitney summit or bust!

It was nicer than expected from an older motel. The room was tidy, clean and appeared to have newer carpet, paint and sheets. The bedside lighting fixtures are newer and are equipped with USB ports for charging electronics. The room is also equipped with a hairdryer, coffeemaker and fridge for convenience. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and professional. The hotel has a few tiny travel size items (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant) for sale (cash only) Something like .50 per item and a few drink items in a fridge (not certain of price). A lot of people like us are there to summit Mt. Whitney and leave the hotel before midnight. As with any hotel, be mindful that people may be sleeping (even in the middle of the day...lol) and definitely when you're leaving in the middle of the night. So shhhhhhh :-) If you're there to summit Whitney and need a clean, quite place to stay for a few hours, I would recommend Trails Motel.

Awful motel. The towels were stained and ripped I cannot believe how bad it was. I knew it was a motel I thought at least they would have towels that are somewhat new. They were more like rags, and the lady at check-in was rude not welcoming at all. The only reason I stayed there cause I thought it had the best reviews of all the other motels around, but those must be fake reviews because this place was a dump. I thought it would be like Motel 6. It was 1000 times worse than a motel six I suggest nobody ever stayed there. It was that bad oh and the comforters over the bed were disgusting filthy stinky probably not been washed in months.

It honestly was the nicest place that I have stayed in lone Pine. The only thing I could say is that the bed is kind of firm, but the linen is amazing in the pillows are nice. The room is super clean, modern, and truly has everything that you would need to stay in a small town.

This motel is a no frills room and facility. But you are looking for a comfortable night of sleep with friendly staff and a convenient location to hiking and Mt. Whitney, this is the place!
