Place was not worth the price Immediately upon arriving, they tacked on $400 on my Visa $200 for incidentals and $200 because it was $50 resort fee for accommodation Upon reserving it to Expedia, I was under the impression that the resort fee was taken care of. Attached is my understanding of this. Too expensive for my budget

They only have valley parking and it’s $72 bucks. Who wants to pay for parking when you’re staying at a hotel. Find hotels that offer free parking and free breakfast and a microwave and complimentary 2 water bottles.

Could hear the person next doors TV all night and phone calls from early morning. Very basic rooms. Not worth cost at all. Would not recommend.

Great location. Nice room. Comfy bed. The Pierside offers a great location hotel, right on the Santa Monica Pier. The only parking option onsite is valet parking for an extortionate $68 per night (we used the multistory over the road for $20 per day). The hotel room was nice enough, good bed, comfortable, good amount of space. Let down a little by towels that had seen their day (dirty marks, felt old), and the air-con in the room was super loud. Don’t let that put you off staying, on the whole it was a great hotel for our short stay. The restaurant (The Surfing Fox) has some incredible food, would definitely recommend!

Whilst the interior of the room was lovely, there was a large gap around the bedroom door which let in a lot of light from the corridor. On querying this at reception we were told nothing could be done about it and many of the bedroom doors had gaps as it was the nature of the building. It is an expensive place to stay with a good location therefore it was really disappointing to have the good aspects completely negated by an ill fitting door. If you like a dark room for sleeping this is not the hotel for you.
