Lacks space and safety

Really disappointed with the room it was so small that you couldn't open the wardrobe fully .There was no room to sit and read and only one bedside table. understandable as no room which meant you had to stand or sit carefully on the bed. The steps down to the bathroom were lethal as the light switch was in the bedroom so you initially went down in the dark before you realised where the switch was This is room 101 which it would appear every guest goes past with two doors slamming till late and then again early morning. This is room 101 ironically a tv programme which discusses things that you don't want ... it says it all.

Ludlow Great....hotel middle of the road...sadly !

After very efficient booking and help and wonderful help getting into the difficult to access car park with a large car..it was a bit of a damp squib. No offer of help with luggage at all nor shown to the room, just given a key and left to your own devices. We found our room tidy generally very clean and comfortable enough save very very cold. Its a a very old charming building but has so much potential. Sad it isn't realised. Every sitting area is cold. A little damp was on the shower ceiling in the bathroom and the grout in the shower floor looked worrying ...it may not have been but otherwise sparkling bathroom. Tough to get served at times. Dinner for eight of us was in a small room and nicely set up... but the food was disappointing in choice and quality. Chips were too pale and not hot and I didn't eat one of them others in our group were very unhappy and a discount for a couple off items it was an expensive error in eating there when we needed a nice reunion dinner. Breakfast greeting great which was by an experienced and delightfully pleasant member of staff (think head of housekeeping) ..she was excellent and the young staff although mostly inexperienced were as kind and helpful as possible. Ludlow is a 'foodie' and very attractive place for a break but the Feathers is nothing more than middle of the road. It could sing so easily!!

Away for a days racing so not long in the hotel. Poor service in the bar area, not good cocktail and limited food offer. Room however was excellent.

Lovely hotel , very welcoming and staff were very helpful . Difficulty parking and manoeuvring around the carpark was a challenge .
