Bear Hug Inn at Gated Smoky Mountain Retreat Community

Bear Hug Inn has spectacular mountain views at 3,900 ft. Enjoy this retreat with its three bedrooms+ loft, 3 œ baths log cabin space. The loft/office area includes sleeper futon and a desk area with printer for you to enjoy the views while working, along with a reading library. There are two fireplaces, five flatscreen TVs, high speed internet, central heat and air. Bear Hug Inn has a two-car garage, outdoor gas grill with large entertainment area, including covered deck with porch swing to enjoy the excellent views. Also furnished is a washer/dryer in the laundry room. We have equipped our well stocked gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, professional gas cooktop, dishwasher and coffeemakers. There are two master suites on separate floors with additional third bedroom.

NO MOTORCYCLES OF ANY KIND, TRAILERS, & LARGE RVS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS COMMUNITY.

1st Floor: Spacious great room with updated furniture to enjoy the panoramic views, open kitchen with granite countertop bar seating. 55” flat screen TV, screened-in porch off kitchen for seasonal dining, laundry room with washer/dryer, half bath and living room with wood burning stone fireplace that opens to covered desk with outdoor seating to enjoy the breathtaking views.

2nd Floor (Upstairs): Master suite with king bed, flat screen TV. Full bath with shower, loft with desk and reading area, full size futon and seating area looking out to open views.

3rd Floor (Downstairs): Master suite king bed with full bathtub/shower combo. Living room includes gas fireplace and 65” smart TV. Second bedroom sleeps six (two sets of bunk beds replaced with new mattresses), full size bed (bottom bunk) twin size bed (top), flat screen TV. Second full bath with tub/shower combo. Family room has private access to lower desk and outside porch swing overlooking stunning mountain views.

Long term rentals available upon request.

Jan – May nightly: $280.00 - $1,680.00
June – October nightly: $350.00 - $2,200.00
November – December (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) $280.00 - $1,680.00
Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s Weekly: $2,400.00

3 nights minimum stay
7 nights minimum stay for holidays of Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years.

Dogs only are considered with $125 Pet Fee.

11% tax will be applied to rent
The Damage Protection of $50 is a required item that will be added to the reservation.
Optional 6.5% Trip Insurance will be applied to rent Deposit Required for Reservations

The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles or trailers on the mountain.

Amazing Views

This is a well-kept home that has all the modern conveniences coupled with amazing views. Fireplaces (one wood and one gas) are on both levels to keep you warm and cozy. (They will even have wood delivered for you.) However, there is electric heat and air if you prefer. You can easily rock away all your cares on the porch swing and rockers located on spacious decks on both levels. The multiple levels work well for families who need a place to rest with a central living area for meals. However, accessing the central area could be difficult for someone who has difficulty climbing stairs. Bear Hug Inn is conveniently located between two towns, numerous restaurants, and activities.The spacious kitchen is great for cooking for large groups. Communication with the office was super easy when needing to make a change or addressing questions. The staff was awesome. We are alteady planning our next trip back! See you soon!

Gorgeous luxury Cabin

This mountain cabin was a dream come true. The property was exquisite in decor as well as comfortable and functional. Multi floor design offers privacy and open floor plan for living/dining and kitchen with fireplace offers fosters warmth for community time. 2 balconies overlook the mountain landscape and allow for outdoor time wirhout the interference of the lical bear population. We had a fantastic time here!

Wonderful Family Trip

We loved the cabin! Very beautiful, spacious, & clean! Check in was easy on the way in. Loved the scenery. The snow made it even more beautiful! They took care of the roads and driveway so we could still get out. Close to everything. Would stay there again!

Exquisite views from both bedrooms, both decks and living areas, kitchen too! Everything we needed in the kitchen was available. Only downside was the mattresses on the bunk beds are thin and need replacing. Other beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful views but lacking in some important ways

This property had some real pluses, the best being the view. We also enjoyed the gated community with close proximity to shopping and the Expressway. It was also very tastefully furnished and decorated. When we first arrived, we really thought it was going to be perfect. But after a week, the flaws started showing. The biggest flaw was the lack of blinds or drapes on the windows. Only 1 bedroom had blinds, meaning those in the master and bunk room had no hope of sleeping in as the sun poured in the windows. The second draw back is there is no bedroom in the main floor. We didn’t fully appreciate that this is a three story property with only kitchen, living and laundry on the main floor. If you have problems with stairs this isn’t the home for you. The third problem was how dusty the master bedroom was. It’s not obviously dusty, but my husband’s sinuses became very painful, with a runny nose and watery eyes, every time we went upstairs to bed. Overall we enjoyed this community and would love to come back to this area, but would pick a different home next time.

Incredible, peaceful views!

Incredible! Enjoyable! Fantastic! This place was everything that I could had hoped for! The only draw back was in the beautiful upstair bedroom. The mattress needs to be replaced due to age. But the kitchen was well stocked, appliances worked great, the view was awesome, and the neighborhood was peaceful. Highly recommended!
