Rented this unit for an entire week as a Christmas gift to my 23 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter specifically this unit for the separate bathroom for my son. On Christmas Eve I noticed the ceiling leaking in the kitchen (in three areas) and contacted the management company whom was abrupt and rude stating itâs a holiday so we may not be able to get anyone out. I expressed my frustration and a maintenance man came out, found the leak coming from the toilet and turned the water valve off. He came back Christmas morning to check if the leak had stopped (it did) and said we could not use the toilet. We went four days without the second toilet which was paid for. Never heard anything further from the management company. I called the management co and spoke with âWillâ the âmanagerâ whom was rude and argumentative we I I asked why no one had contacted me about my inconvenience before I leave a review He stated âso you want a full refund or you are going to give us a bad review â. I asked why would you put words in my mouth, he replied â I can read between the linesâ. I was/am completely insulted and told him so and that he was rude, requested to speak with with manager, he stated he was the manager and that he would refer this to the âCEOâ and hung up.
Iâve had a couple of bad experiences with bugs in the Mammoth area rentals, so very happy that this place was very clean and bug free. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking through them. Thankfully, it seems like everyone was set on the same schedule, which led to a great night sleep every night. I think the property was advertised as remodeled, but there were no signs of recent remodeling to be seen. However, as mentioned it was clean so we were grateful for that. The kitchen would benefit from some additional cooking items such as baking trays , but otherwise we were able to make dinner every day with what was there. I generally drive to mammoth so if you were in the same boat, I would recommend packing up your condiments, oils, etc. and anything else you may need for cooking and taking it with you.
The condo was nice, clean and well decorated. The only bummer was we could not keep our windows open due to the tenants downstairs constantly smoking pot on their balcony. It would be nice if unit had some basics like pepper and sugar for coffee. Loved that there was enough TP and paper towels. We bought sugar and left it for other tenants to use. Bed was awesome and location was perfect.
Despite needing to depart early due to my partnerâs health condition we found the condo to be exactly as advertised, nicely appointed, spacious and a perfect location nearby to shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend it and stay again.
We enjoyed our stay here. Especially after we switched rooms from upstairs to downstairs it was more comfortable. Upstairs the heat depended on whether the pellet stove and downstairs heater was on (but then was very bright and not dark once you wanted to sleep). Heat (and darkness) is best controlled in the main room downstairs.
Kind of noisy when it's supposed to be quiet - the walls are thin and we could hear a lot of the other tenants making noise early in the morning or late at night.
No condiments anywhere in the kitchen so bring your own, purchase some, or just eat out. Otherwise a clean and good stay overall. Lots of warnings of possible charges in case you don't follow a direction upon checkout - but I suppose is incentive to ensure one checks out properly. Although the power went out right before we left and I had to restart the dishwasher, I stayed until the power and heat reconnected - lest we be charged for not setting to 50 upon leaving. Was all working and fine when we left.
Easy to get to. Close to stop 42 for the green line to Eagle lodge. Ski closet outside. Check in easy. The place could use a bit of a remodel; has a musty smell and the bathroom/kitchen could be updated. Bare minimum in the kitchen. It met our needs though.
This was a great spot to stay and ski. On the Eagle green line (one of the first stops so not gonna get left behind on busy mornings). Please was clean, though did have a slight musty smell upon entry.
Generally positive experience with the stay. Only negative is that bathroom sinks are very very low for a person of 6 feet tall and the toilets were the smallest I have ever seen, though they did serve their purpose.
Would stay again, nonetheless.
It was clean, looked nice inside. The management staff was somewhat uncooperative and policy sticklers and not very accommodating. Maybe I demanded too much, but I asked about moving our stay by one day seeing that the calendar showed an empty day after our stay. Seems reasonable, but because "policy" and "holidays" - they declined. The kitchen supplies were a bit skimpy, but maybe not many people drink tea, so there was no teaspoons (just two sizes of soup spoons) and the kettle was somewhat broken. One of the two bedrooms is in a loft, so not too much privacy with kids and the couch is OK if you're fine sleeping with your shins hanging outside of it. Decent 4k Samsung "smart" TV with oversaturated colors. Bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo, conditioner) for 1 or 2 days in our 10 day stay were OK I guess. A bit untypical compared to standard p2p rentals. No good place to dry your ski jackets. Very large washer and drier... located in the loft bedroom with the drier venting into the apartment so not great if you're sensitive to smells but worked well overall. Their policy must have been written by lawyers and business folks paid by the word because it's as long as your iPhone EULA with lots of penalties if you forget to close windows, shades, turn off lights etc, but you should be OK if you're tidy. It was OK. A bit pricier than our typical ski trips to BC, Utah, Wyoming or Oregon, but I guess you need to be prepared to pay 50-100% more for things in California...
The condo was a bit dated and it was a little heavy on the cleaning smell when we opened the door but that odor cleared out within 15 minutes of our arrival. Great location, comfortable beds, good appliances.
We really enjoyed our stay.
We would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at our unit. We appreciated the extremely detailed instructions. It was clean and quiet and the beds were comfy. I had to call the office upon check-in for clarification on something and spoke with Cheryl. She was super friendly and helpful!
