Good Stay

Good locations, close to famous gold leaf workshops, close walk to the train station. Hotel is very new rooms in good condition, cool roof top bar with puppet show. Good food.

Central for visiting most sites. Near to Station.

Loved this hotel. Easy to get to from the airport and a great welcome from the reception staff. Arrived slightly early so room was not ready for occupation. Supplied with cold fruit juice while we waited. Room was spacious clean with a great bathroom and real comfy bed. Housekeeping is superb clean towels everyday bed made up and room made spotless. The breakfast and staff in restaurant were terrific. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.

Advise not to stay here

No hot water, the air conditioning can't be turned on until some time after you come in and turns off sporadically, and the staff aren't trustworthy. Also as the other reviews say it's quite loud. Linens don't appear clean. Bathroom not as in the pictures but more like a wet room, no water pressure maybe because there's no hot water and nowhere to put anything. More like a 1* hotel.

Room was nice. Bathroom was very well stocked with items Sochi as a shaver and sewing kit. Fridge was roomy and bed was comfortable. However, ‘complimentary’ items such as the mini bar could cost as much as 2500 Kt depending on what you drank.

I was transferred to your hotel not caude of my will, and the one I booked suppose to have the bathtub. In Sanctuary I did not find it. Plus the room smell was horrible, dont know where it comes from, but the sheets and towels were clean

Nice hotel but could be better

We had two stays in this hotel, either side of a trip to Bagan. The room we booked was a suite, it was comfortable and clean. However the room was at the front of the hotel and there was traffic noise all the time, especially from people using their horns, which drivers in Mandalay do a lot. There was also a problem with general noise as all the windows seemed to be ill fitting with gaps between window and frames. The suite was on the first floor, on our second stay we did ask for a room higher up but were told this was not possible. We also noticed a bad drain smell a few times. We ate in the restaurant a few evenings, however the food was bland and uninspiring, there was also a cultural puppet show which appeared to be on most nights. It was nice on there first night but after that not so much as it was the same show. Staff in the restaurant were very polite and friendly however refused to take any dollar notes that were marked or old.

Good staff and good amenities

This is a very good choice in Mandalay, though location is a bit far from the Mandalay hill area, the good service and friendly staff are paid off. The hotel generally has good amenities that you have all that you need. The staff is super helpful, we can get rid of problem to arrange transportation for sightseeing, all you need to do is just ask the staff, they are very quick response and helpful. The breakfast is standard, can’t complain more at this budget price. Would love to stay in this hotel again

Outstanding service

Staff are super friendly and helpful, we didn’t need to spend too much effort to arrange transportation or tour as the receptionist is amazing to arrange that, all we need is to ask for help only! Breakfast has various choices from salad, Asian food and eggs/toast. The waitress are very well service every morning. The hotel’s amenities are also up to standard. Overall this is a very good choice for tourist or business travellers.

the room was small, but clean. hot shower and water pressure was good too (check if the boiler is switched on).
