Spacious Waterfront Home on a Direct Ocean Access Canal with a Chilled Pool

Escape to Marathon in this large 5 bedroom 3 bath waterfront home in the heart of Marathon Florida. This clean home is bright and spacious with a large open living space perfect multiple couples or large families. This unique Florida Keys home has two finished levels so the family/group can spend quality time together in the spacious upsairs area or enjoy some private time in the downstairs lounge area.


Bring your boat or rent one for the week and keep it on our large 68 ft deep water dock. The house is a quick 5 min away from from the Ocean inlet and the best fishing in the world.

Not into fishing? Relax at the house and enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony or lounge in the chairs in the backyard. Two kayaks and a paddle board are available if you want to spend the day exploring on the water. Enjoy the floating dock for easy Kayak loading.

Great stay in Marathon

The house is very large and very well located in Marathon. There was a small problem with the pool when we arrived, but the owner immediately contacted the pool company, and it was fixed the next morning. It was convenient to have a dog park next to the house. Internet could be better, my partner had a little trouble working (50 mbps).

House was okay. It is located just across the highway from the airport, so we heard a lot of jets and helicopters day and night. The master bedroom bed was comfortable, but the other beds were very uncomfortable. The house is worn and in need of maintenance. The pool was nice, but some damaged party lights dangling over it blinked night and day. We only saw one roach and it was dead. If u are considering this rental, bring your knives. There wasn’t a decent sharp knife in the kitchen.

This house was perfect for our family. We were 6 adults and 2 children. The location and views were superb. The balcony was perfect for morning coffee and conversation with our adult children. The grandchildren loved playing in the heated pool and we all enjoyed relaxing in it. Having the 2 levels worked well since our grandson wanted some quiet time in his downstairs room occasionally. Everybody could get together or have some quiet time when they wanted with all of the space indoors and outdoors. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. The area is perfect for walking and biking. The microwave broke and I messaged Jay with VRBO and a new one was installed right away. The dryer wasn’t getting warm after a few days into our stay and it was repaired promptly as well. I would suggest this rental to anyone as we enjoyed our stay immensely! I didn’t want to leave.

We spend Thanksgiving in Marathon each year and as our families grow, so do our needs. Fishing/boating is central to our trip but November seas are fickle. This year, the heated pool saved the week! The house is well-equipped for children of all ages. The kitchen was stocked well enough to prepare and serve Thanksgiving dinner. We loved the direct access to the ocean but note, it’s a narrow canal. We don’t have a bow thruster and turning a boat around longer than 30’ can be tricky in the wind. Patience is required Overall great experience.

What a great house! It’s homey enough that you don’t feel like you have to worry about every little thing and everything is in good shape. The beds are so comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the grill works great! The kayaks and SUP were a wonderful bonus. We had a great dog park just around the corner for our pets. Beautiful views out of this property. Everyone had a great time and we all agree that the property was very clean so not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. We loved the pool and we had 2 days of visits with a mama and baby manatees! It was our first trip to the Keys and it won’t be the last! Jay is a great host! I could go on and on but go see for yourself!

Needs updated & a working coffee maker, but great location

I’m a travel agent, rented property for a family holiday. The furniture is old & living room furniture is uncomfortable. There are sugar ants in the kitchen. There are 2 coffee pots neither worked. The outdoor living space and pool area was dirty. Only 3 wash rags and listed for up to 12 people, we bought some and left them. Light bulbs were missing and melted. Missing stems on lamps couldn’t turn them on. Smoke detector hanging from wire in trundle room, no bedspread or pillow for trundle bed. Sliding door to pool no handle on outside had to use hand on glass to slide open. Broken drawer in down stairs 2 twin bedroom closet. What was great was the location, bikes, kayak, paddleboard and pool. We overall enjoyed our stay but coffee is very important to us as well as cleanliness.

Overall very happy with the property. The pool was wonderful, the beds were super comfy and the extras were much used. It is a very baby friendly house and perfect for our large group, we never felt like we were on top of each other. The location is fantastic as our kids were able to bike to many places. It is a quiet area, with beautiful views up and down the canal. Only 2 things to be aware of, there is no screened in porch but the deck is very nice and large. The sleeper sofa is not at all suitable to pull out and sleep on, thankfully we had an air mattress and did some sleeping rearrangements. I would reccomend renting this property and the host Jay was easy to communicate with.

My brother my son and three other friends stayed the first five days. Fish bonded had a great time everyone thought the accommodations were great. Keys Vacation

If you are a fisherman with a boat, it is a great location. Ice machine and outside bait freezer a plus. However, the property needs a lot of TLC and a good cleaning. Crib was broken, two burners on gas stove didn't work, coffee maker was broken, pool fountains shown in pictures permanently disabled. Property manager listed on front door said they hadn't worked there for two years. Very difficult reaching host. Check grill before you plan a meal. Propane for the grill was empty and host says guest are responsible for obtaining and cost of refill. Would not stay here again without some upgrades being done or lower the rate. There are many properties in Marathon at this price in a lot better shape and available!

Filthy and pest infested

Roach and ant infested. FILTHY with dirt, grime, and mold. 1965 uncomfortable and stained with who knows what furniture, and a “chilled” pool so cold we couldn’t use, and no way to adjust. We tried to make the best of a very upsetting situation, and this was the 1st, and last time using VRBO. I wish I could download the pictures I took of the above comments!

Easy Access to the Ocean )

We chose this location due to how easy it was for us to access the ocean. The home has all the necessities, including, a big plus -- an outside ice maker and freezer. Very boater friendly - with nice neighbors. Sadly the weather did not cooperate the week we chose, giving us 25-33 mph winds, causing us to leave the boat on the trailer for 2 days. We have never experienced this type weather down in the Keys. It was even too chilly to swim in the pool, and some of the area around US1 near Florida City/Key Largo was on fire a few days before our departure which caused us to leave early because of road closures. Yet...we are thankful for the upstairs balcony and covered parking. We hope to choose a warmer week next visit.

Perfect location!

We needed a quiet upscale place where we could relax, but get to the action quickly. This house was perfect for that! My husband, my sister, and myself truly enjoyed the layout of the house, the amazing pool, and even got a visit from the local manatee family! It was close to amazing restaurants and had the perfect kitchen for relaxing meals at home. Highly recommend!

Great location

Location was great with direct ocean access. Pool was perfect for multiple adults and kids. It was especially nice that the pool gets shade from the house in the hot afternoon. The ice maker outside is a must have in the keys. It saves daily trips o the store to refill coolers. As a note to the owner, the fridge ice maker in the kitchen was broken and it is a pain to get ice downstairs every time. Also, need more silverware and basic utensils. We had to wash forks after every use. Overall a great house that can accommodate a few families.

A wonderful stay for 8 in Paradise

We had such a wonderful stay in Marathon, and this home was a perfect fit for two families, with four grown children. The canal, floating dock, pool, bedrooms, and additional refrigerator- made our 10 day stay amazing. The location in Marathon is close to everything, and just a little to close to Paradise Flavors for afternoon ice cream/popsicle treats!! Jay was extremely accommodating and prompt to jump on all the issues we were presented with. A note to all renters- if you make a mess, break things, ruin/steal kitchen and cleaning supplies- you are just making life for the next renter miserable. Just be a decent human and leave the home as well as, or a bit nicer than you found it! We reported the issues to Jay, who immediately had everything handled with the Handi-Man and supplies shipped in... a huge thank you to him for jumping on the issues and being a wonderful host!!!! Thank you for opening your home and sharing paradise with us! We look forward to returning soon!

We had a great week. The location is great in marathon Nice having the ice machine and freezer outside. My two year old loved the pool. The cleaners were still cleaning at check in time so we had to wait over an hour to get in the house.

Great time with friends

Property is great for a group of friends or family to spend time together. Pool was fantastic and being able to keep the boat on the bulkhead made for easy boat days, having ample parking for a trailer was a great bonus as well. Would definitely come back.
