Amazing villa with direct view of the isle of Capri and panoramic terrace
Villa Eden is a wonderful two-floors villa, surrounded by a fascinating ~ 600 m2 garden of flowers and Gum trees and directly overlooking the seaside. The Villa has 4 bedrooms, 3 double rooms and 1 twin room, all overlooking a unique panoramic terrace, 3 bathrooms, a large and sunny living room, a large kitchen / dining room with direct view of the isle of Capri and 150 m2 panoramic terrace (at the ground floor). The first level of the garden, furnished with a barbecue deck and a dining table, is perfect for an open air lunch or dinner for up to 12 people, gladdened by the sun and the sea breeze. The second level of the garden can be used as a sundeck, but it also gives the chance to relax under the shadow of 3 centuries-old Olive trees! Finally, at the last level of the garden, you will find the private swimming-pool of the villa, at just a few meters upon the sea! Coming down the few steps of the small garden path, it is possible to reach the seaside and the small port of Marina della Lobra in a few minutes walk. The villa is about 300m away from the main road and can be reached on foot or by small cars (ex: Citroen C3, FIAT Panda) through a descending private road: if you have a bigger car, you will be able to leave it at the private parking near the main gate and then descend the 300m on foot. A free baggage transport service is offered on the days of arrival and departure, upon request.
Villa Eden is in Massa Lubrense, at a walking distance from the small fishermen's hamlet of Marina Lobra. The city of Massa Lubrense is part of the Sorrento Peninsula, in a privileged position within the Gulf of Naples, with direct view of the isle of Capri. The beaches and the sea of Massa Lubrense are among the cleanest in Italy, as they won the "Blue Flag" of the "Foundation for Environmental Education" (FEE) every year between 2008 and 2016! From Massa Lubrense it is possible to reach Sorrento in 10min and, from there, the isles of Capri and Ischia, the city of Pompeii, Hercolaneum and Naples (by train or by car). From Naples you can get to the Villa by car, by train or by bus.
Amazing location. House itself needs some upgrades - most importantly AC should be installed in the family room.
Owner extremely helpful and courteous.
This is our second year staying at this villa. Christa and her father are wonderful to deal with. They meet you at the top of the driveway and bring your luggage to the villa. If you have any walking or health issues this driveway is very steep. But once you get to the Villa the views are so worth it. Itâs very spacious inside. We were a family of 5 and had more than enough room to spread out. Outside there is many places to sit and just look over the water and Capri. If we ever go back we would definitely stay here again.
This villa is just magical! Multi levels of beautiful lush gardens, walkway to the sea and to the village. Pool, outdoor showers, AC in all the bedrooms, comfortable, huge common areas with ocean breezes. Chiara is an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed and even helped with arranging a private boat to Capri for us. We can not say enough about her kindness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality. There are tons of stairs, as this villa is hillside, but worth every single step. Incredible sunset views, warm and welcoming village down the walk by the beautiful, crystal clear sea (with swimming areas), we were just blown away!
Thank you so much Chaira for our most favorite stay on our trip to Italy! Much love to you and your family!
This house is wonderfully situated near the marina which has a restaurant that was very handy. The view is spectacular. After being out and about the pool was really refreshing. The house only has air conditioning in the bedrooms, the rest of the house was very uncomfortable with the heat and there wasnât any fans. When checking in we had to walk to the house with all of our luggage after a long drive and temps in the 40âs. Luckily it was downhill but then at the end of feeling like a Sherpa you go into a stifling hot house. In less hot weather this would be a nice place to stay but I wouldnât stay there again when itâs really hot.
All the way through the process from the initial booking, prior to our holiday, check in, during our stay and check out Chiara was a friendly and professional host. The villa is in a beautiful location. The views are stunning. The town is small but has most of the things you need and itâs off the tourist trail which is nice. Perfectly located for Sorrento only a 20 minute or so drive away. The walk up and down the drive to the villa, and the steps down to the pool and the sea, require you to be able bodied but we had no problems and it was good exercise after all the wine and local food! Take shoes for the sea, itâs rocky and we all had a few scratches and scraps trying to get into the sea off the rocks right outside the villa. Water shoes, as most of the locals wear, would of meant that wouldnât of been an issue Iâm sure.
