ANGLER'S INN in Matlacha, Florida is a pet-friendly waterfront "Botel" accommodation located between Cape Coral and Pine Island. Come by land or sea and keep your boat just outside your fully outfitted efficiency unit. Launch your boat just across the canal at the Matlacha Community Park where you can park and forget about it until time to haul out. Angler's Inn Motel/Botel is the perfect location for kayak and canoe paddlers to explore the local waters of Matlacha Pass and Pine Island Sound. Fantastic fishing for Snook, Redfish, Trout and Tarpon is just outside your door. The white sand beaches of Sanibel, Cayo Costa and Captiva are just a short boat ride away. While exploring be sure to stop in at Cabbage Key for your "Cheeseburger in Paradise" made famous by Jimmy Buffet. We offer bicycles to visit "downtown" and all it has to offer; or just walk as all is nearby. Angler's Inn's affordable nightly, weekly and monthly rates will let you rest easily as you dream about the "Big Catch" from the boat just outside your back door screened-in patio. We come to the area to bike, kayak and go to museums and parks. The location is great for scouting around Pine Island and is an easy drive to many good places to sight see. The community park is an easy walk from the Anglers Inn also. The decor of the room is a reflection of Old Matlacha, colorful, small and sweet. Love the lanai and availability of a washer and dryer. Spent a good amount of time watching the birds across the canal and the comings and goings of the boats from the dock. Janette and Michael were terrific. They were very responsive and sincerely wanted you to be as comfortable and happy as possible.
Plenty of space for parking.
Lanai has privacy “hedges”.

Great place to stay, only downsides are the air unit isn’t big enough to cool down the space quickly and the bed is very stiff. We will book again because the porch is awesome and check in check out is a breeze. We will bring an extra fan and maybe a mattress topper.

The place was off the main road and boat channel to be very quiet. The motel was completely destroyed by Hurricane Ian in Sept 2022 so has been restored since then and the owners have done a good job with lots of hard work. I was very comfortable and loved being able to control my own room temp with the mini split in my room. Parking available in front of door and boat mooring available for those who have boats. Otherwise chairs in screened outdoor space or dockside lounger available to sit and relax. Community park across the canal which gives privacy and trees for birds to perch and pelicans, ospreys and herons to hunt for fish. Janette was very helpful and responsive. I would be happy to book another stay there in the future.

Love this little spot in Matlacha

Wow what a great little place! Very clean and super convenient with the boat slip right next to it. The owners were super friendly, accommodating and always very responsive. We loved it there and will definitely go back!

Haven't been here since 2006. Would come yearly with family. Great memories. Brought tears to my eyes to see so much recover Still needed after more then a year ago hurricane. But happy to hear Berts will be rebuilt and to see the progress made. Had a wonderful visit and would return to Anglers Inn.
