The property was lovely, clean and well appointed. Everything we needed was there and the communication with the host was fantastic. Unfortunately the proximity of the property to the train line did see us leave early. The train runs directly across the footpath from the property and the trains did not stop until 12am but then started at 4:50am. If you are not bothered by noise this is a great property, close to everything and so well presented.
The biggest issue was with the parking. It wasn't clear that the off street parking was not at the property until after I had paid. Given I was bringing my elderly parents to Melbourne for my mother to have a medical procedure that was less than ideal. Added to which there were no instructions about how to get out of the parking garage. When I asked for advice, I was told to use the fob on the keys. There were no keys or fob - when I advised this I got no answer and no solution. I had to park my car at the grill and run around the block to enter the code, jump in my car and drive out before the grill closed again. Less than ideal. I had understood there were stairs involved in the property but not how steep they would be, the inadequacy of the handrail and the turns at the bottom and the top, all of which were difficult to negotiate for my elderly parents. On the positive side, the property was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. And it was well located for access to the Epworth Hospital.
