Excellent Meriton Suites.

Excellent rooms. Modern, clean and well catered for with washer, dryer, fridge and microwave. Very comfortable for an extended stay. Only minor grip is checkout is early and can only be extended until 1pm with at cost. No half day rate available which is not great if you have a late flight. Although they will look after your luggage.

Recently stayed 2 nights at Metricon King st in a one bedroom suite on level 15. The location was central cbd but in a quiet area. It is short 5 min walk from Southrrn cross station and Marvel Stadium and skybus. Also a short walk to Flinders st for trams to Rod Lava and MCG. There is a woolworths metro on the corner and a chemis warehouse below with some food options close by. The room was modern and clean had a small sitting area with couch and large screen small kitchen with benchtop cooking and full size fridge which was handy and wash up liquid provided. Also washing machine and dryer with liquid supplied. Bathroom had shampoo/conditioner and soap. The shower was hard to get to right temperature either boiling hot or freezing not sure if just my room the pressure was not the best. The property has nice pool/spa/sauna area on lv2. Lifts are super quick and reception staff were friendly with check in quick with my room ready early. Overall great hotel will stay again next in Melbourne

Property is amazing and in an ideal location. The only issues are that my VIP status was basically not recognised and more importantly the car parking process is terrible, you have to go to the hotel first get a code and then go back into your car and drive to the carpark this took me approximately twenty minutes and I feel the process could be streamlined to avoid this. Otherwise staff were amazing and the suite was huge

everything was good about this property but i want to suggest a few things 1. exit staircases cannot be opened from the staircase and this can be a safety issue .. kids can go in the doors marked exit and get stuck since you cant open these doors from the staircase side, there are not phones or mobile network inside there.. our friends were staying on 49 and we on 47 floors and we had a harrowing time going to each others room since neither lift not staiway access is possible.. this is a big safety issue 1. since there is no housekepping service they need to stock toileteries for the entire stay in the apartments or have the larger bottles with pump rather than the small tubes which get over in 1 or 2 washes.. so every day one has to go to the reception to ask for more bodywash and lotions
