We call this special getaway “Water’s Edge on Tainter Lake.” It features a cozy Cape Cod feel throughout, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, making it the perfect spot for a quick escape from the Twin Cities—just 50 minutes away—or for visiting the beautiful University of Wisconsin–Stout campus.

Fish right off the permanent dock, enjoy stunning lake views and sunsets on this fun, active recreational lake, or relax in the hot tub overlooking the water. The dock is available for guests who wish to bring their own boat and explore the lake. Take a short boat ride to Jake’s Supper Club for a great meal and classic lakeside atmosphere.

We had such a great stay at this cabin, it far exceeded all expectations. Everything was super clean, cabin was exactly as advertised, and communication with the host was great. We were able to go in winter and do some ice fishing on the lake, and then sit in the hot tub overlooking the lake in the evenings. Close to town, but definitely in "cabin country". It had everything we needed, and we can't wait to come back in the summer!
