The good:
Staff was generally great.
Clean, modern, well equipped room with A/C and heat, a comfortable king bed, fridge, microwave, 2 burner stove, cups, silverware, a cooking pot, espresso machine etc.
Laundry machines are there, and are free, and work well.
A good location.
The reason why it doesn’t get 5 stars is noise. From multiple sources. This is a small place. We were in one of the front rooms, facing the street at street level, with the big steel front door in between. Don’t accept on of those rooms.
You hear the front door, every guest coming and going, all the front desk conversations day and night 3 feet from your room, outside conversations on the sidewalk, people knocking on your window from the street, people knocking on the front door, a super loud gasoline compressor tanker pump truck arrived at 11pm one night, ran a hose through the lobby near our door and pumped until 11:45 pm right in front of our window one night. Who does that?
We asked for a different room and did not get one during our stay. Also, the outside lights were directly above our window and were on all night, every night. The curtains did not block them completely. We needed earplugs every single night. The stairs are also metal.
If you stay here I highly recommend a room on the 2nd to 5th floors, in the back only, to reduce the noise from everything. I think they would be much quieter. Note there is no elevator.
