Cold night in Va…

Check in was delayed, because the clerk didn’t send the email. The room was very cold and then when we asked for heat ( during a snow storm) it became extremely hot and then the clerk/ attendant had left for the night. The shower did not get warm. Stated cold!!! Was told there was an event that evening and that sometimes occurs when there are several people showering at same time…

Guest comfort is our priority which is why we have a member of staff on property 24/7 available to help with things like adjusting temperature and providing spare blankets. It is true that the historic Red Fox building, which is almost 300 years old, cannot meet the same standards of heating as the rooms in other buildings can. We do everything in our power to keep our guests comfortable during their stays and we are very sorry to hear that we did not meet our high level of guest satisfaction during your stay.

I can't wait to get back to the Red Fox Inn with my husband for a romantic weekend! I booked just one night as I was traveling for work this time. The Inn is historic and quaint, and in the best location. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The food at the pub was delicious too. The location couldn't be better and the off street parking was a plus!

I stayed in Huntland and it would have been nice to have somewhere to hang towels near the tub or shower. I would also say that overall, even something as simple as a full length mirror would have been nice, as well as a mini fridge of some sort for food and drinks. The ice bucket was nice. It was just a lot of money to pay for a nice room that had few amenities.

I do want to comment on the mirror for the benefit of any future guests who may read this review, all of our rooms are equipped with a full-length mirror. If you stay with us in the future, please let us know if you are having difficulty finding certain things because we are always happy to assist! While not all rooms have mini fridges, some do and we are also happy to assist booking a reservation with that feature or a number of other amenities!We hope we will be able to host you again in the future!

We were there for New Year’s weekend and our stay was wonderful. The property was beautiful and our room charming.
