You guys were 10 stars IN EVERY CATEGORY! I don't know what happened, but I clicked 5 stars in EVERY category! The house was SO clean, my cleaning lady was thrilled, she had an easy clean on a holiday weekend! Definitely an "over and above"! And EVERY house rule was followed +!
PS It was nice to meet both of you and your adorable pups! Glad they got to swim on the sand bar! My daughter's dog loved the islands, she was a rescue (sadly passed away last year :((( ) and so she did not know how to "come". The islands were the only place she could run free! So we named one Izzy Island! It is on google! :)

Weekend getaway

Anniversary trip

Beautiful Cottage on the Lake!
Publié le 13 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was very clean and inviting with fun furniture and a great view! Sherry and Mark left a lovely note of welcome and a delicious box of local chocolates. That was very sweet but, my favorite part was the dog accessories including dog bowls and sheets so our pups could sit with us on the furniture! a good time was had by all.

A Lovely Cottage on the Lake!
Publié le 29 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I stayed 2 nights at the cottage and would have loved to have stayed longer if time had permitted us on our travels through Michigan from Florida! The cottage was very clean and we felt welcomed by the personal note and chocolates left by the owners. Everything we could have needed and more was supplied in the cottage. The weather was chilly so we enjoyed using the fire pit on the patio area in the evening. Sitting outside and looking out over the lake in the cool, crisp mornings and listening to the sounds of nature was so beautiful and refreshing! We took a daytrip into nearby Frankenmuth for some shopping and a chicken dinner at Zehnder's which was also fun. Communication with the owners was very easy. They were very friendly available to answer any questions we had. We hope to make it back for a longer stay at this lovely cottage on the lake in the future!

Perfect stay!

Great little romantic getaway

Lots of switches in cabin, no clue what they all went to.

LOL the switches are confusing, but we don't want it to not feel like a home (we have all been to those places), so no stickers or notes all over. We just leave them in the correct positions. The front switches are up so that the motion lights come on when you arrive or come in at night. There is one on the garage, and one on the cottage. The living room switches actually do control the outlets, so they must be in the "up" position for the tv to work etc. Back in the day, people wired for lamps, and that way they could turn on with a switch! Sorry for the confusion, there are a lot. Have a great fall! Thanks again for renting our little cottage :) Mark & Sherry
