Thank you for staying we us. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. The hot tub does work it is simply off limits to guest this is why it is not listed as an amenity. For a long time due state regulations we weren't allowed to have guest use the hot tub. As for firewood, due to issues in the past we stopped providing firewood.

Thank you for staying with us, Marilyn. Thank you for the three previous times you've stayed at our vacation cabin. Unfortunately, this review is 100% misleading. You contacted me about your reservation @ 8:30pm on Oct 2nd. In your message you said that you were showing a booking for the weekend of Oct 6th - Oct 8th but didn't have it booked. I responded to your message an 1hr later informing you that your reservation was for Oct 13th - Oct 15th and that the cabin is booked through the weekend of Oct 8th. I didn’t hear from you until Oct 4th. On oct 4th, you wanted me to move your reservation to NYE. I informed that those days were already booked. You then informed me that you will still come the weekend of Oct 6th - Oct 8th even though I told you that we will have guest there. You then asked if I could move their reservation. I informed you again that that was not your reservation, but I can work with you on moving your reservation to a weekend in Oct, Nov, Dec and Jan. I didn't hear back from you unit Oct 9th. On Oct 9th you told me none of those weekends will work and demanded I cancel the reservation. I told you we cannot cancel the reservation because as host we would get penalized. You accused us of double booking you and giving you confusing information. I informed you that we cannot book anyone, and we've been clear with you about the status of your reservation. I informed you that you made this reservation 4 months ago and 11 days before your check-in you started sending us conflicting messages about your reservation. Out of those 11 days you didn't respond to any of my messages for 5 out of those 11 days. Finally on Oct 11th you asked that we move your reservation to next fall. You admitted that you double booked. You said that you booked another cabin with your private email and our cabin your work email. I informed you that your request was not feasible at that time and as host there's no longer anything we can do. This was less than 48hrs before your check-in. As it pertains to the signage in the cabin, Of the 4 signs, one is required by the state, two are posted over each toilet informing guests of what they cannot flush since the cabin operates on a septic system and the other has to do with towels. These signs have always been there. We have never provided spices and you've never mentioned anything about our hot pads. It's unfortunate that it has come to this. Because you have stayed with us before and have been a great guest, we were diligently trying help resolve your issue that was not of our making, but you kept giving us the run around and confusing us with conflicting information which you finally admitted to in our private messages. As hosts we are thankful for the times you've stayed with us, and the 5 star reviews you have left us.
