Aircon is turned off overnight - undisclosed hotel policy & a nightmare in August! We booked this hotel for one reason: AIR CONDITIONING. After a long, scorching drive with an unwell baby and young child, we needed somewhere cool. The website and Expedia promised aircon, yet shortly after midnight it shut off. Reception told us it is deliberately switched off until 6am - nowhere was this disclosed! The night receptionist was apologetic & kind, but said the hotel had no fans. Shocking, given the ridiculous aircon policy at the peak of summer! We were on the second floor with no window bars, so opening them was too dangerous; the thought of our child climbing out and falling was horrifying. We had no safe alternative and suffered an unbearable night. Our baby cried in the heat, our older child tossed and sweated, and we paid for a service we did not receive. The hotel is shabby and falling apart: stained carpets, smelly towels, ragged bathmats, chipped furniture, minimal toiletries & a single cheap roll of toilet paper for a family of four. Everything screams a shoestring budget, yet it advertises itself as more. Guests are misled, cheated, & left frustrated; the hotel earns bad reviews instead of loyalty. This review reflects only our experience in this room. We wish we'd never booked and were drained the next day. Do not be fooled by photos or the aircon listing. If you value comfort, health, and your money, stay elsewhere until management finally invests in improvments!

Great hotel for good price

We stayed in this hotel as we had our own hire car and wanted to stay outside Florence. It was little confusing to find the hotel because of lots of one way streets but no biggie. There is a paid parking right outside and unless you tell the hotel to specifically reserve garage parking you will have no chance as they only have 3 spaces. But 200 meter just next to the Tettuccio Terme, along the park is free parking which we used. The main street is easy to find from the hotel and train station too. It takes 45 minutes on the train to Florence. The staff were all lovely and helpful every time we came up to ask a question. Breakfast, in the downstairs room, was adequate and plentiful even with just cornflakes and chocolate coco-pops as the only cereal selection. The girls refilling breakfast trays were very friendly and smiled all the time which makes a big difference first thing in the morning. The room was spacious, clean and had a small balcony but only one reclining chair fitted on it. Bathroom was spacious with a bath and shower in it. Montecatini Terme has many hotels which explained the low price. There is a swimming pool outside which I used (May 14) but Jacuzzi was cold so not used. The traditional old fashion decor look of the hotel is very clean and fresh looking. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stayed here again

Et ok men slidt hotel. Hotellet havde ikke oplyst at spa-området var under renovation og dermed ikke virkede. Generelt trænger hotellet til at blive opgraderet. Sengene er bløde (feltsenge/metalramme med fjedre). Ok morgenmad. Ligger i fin gåafstand til byen.
