The property itself needs some repairs. It is a work in progress. The food was excellent! The staff were excellent. They need to add a few things to the room for example the bathroom needs a hook to hang up clothes, the door to our room need a shield/strip to keep out critter. Our room had no telephone so you had to go the the front desk with you request each time. In preparation for new guest the safe should be open with instruction and each room should have a list of options and directory for help, etc.

Delicious food!

I really enjoyed my stay at Deja. We arrived on Independence Day and the hotel put on a great show, they had food outside (jerk chicken and pork, curry goat and oxtail) and a dance performance. Great music being played too. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel didn’t seem to have a lift, so bags must be carried. The room I had was on the first floor and the windows were directly on to the terrace where the outdoor grill was, so I couldn’t really open my curtains at all as there were people outside during the day. The room was fine, comfortable large bed. The air conditioning wasn’t very effective but was fine. The hotel more generally was such a good vibe. The music played in the day and evening was always good, staff were so nice, especially the entertainment team. Drinks were tasty (and strong) and most of all the food was excellent. Every meal had Jamaican options. Highlights for me was the curry chicken, stew chicken, ital stew and the fried dumplings at breakfast. But everything was good at every meal. You get access to Doctor’s Cove beach via the hotel, but have to pay for beach chairs and umbrellas which were US$7 each. I would stay here again if I come back to Montego Bay.

Just came back from a Wonderful and awesome vacation in Jamaica. Spending five nights at the Great Deja Resort. August 4th to August 9th 2025. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a wonderful staff, from security to the bellhop. The receptionist Taniki was helpful loving, kind and friendly. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and have the best vacation ever. The other receptionist they were all great, so sorry not to get all the names. But another outstanding one was Lauren . Hope that is her name Deborah and Satia and the rest of crew from the dining room make me feel like a king when I goes for breakfast. The bartenders are very very very great, I mean all of them. Can't wait to be back next year. Went to Jamaica to celebrate my mom and dad 55 wedding anniversary. My mom and dad stayed at the hotel they didn't want to leave My dad called me today and said that he and mom is dying to go back because the staff are great and the food is great

Like many other reviews mentioned, yes, the resort needs updates. However, for the price & location, I have little to complain about. I’ve never been to a resort where the food is just phenomenal so I feel that point is mute. We enjoyed some dishes and others were ok.. I’m not at all inclusive for the food only. The customer service was great! Everyone was gracious & welcoming. We had 1 issue with not having towels but it was addressed quickly. The beds were made daily, the pool was small but functional and close the the bar & grill, We always had chairs available to us, access to Doctors Cave beach was free for guests which was nice & the resort provided us towels. The small club downstairs was good for Thursday karaoke. There was a few clubs/restaurants in walking distance. Me & my daughter would definitely return.

One of the best experiences vacationing with the family. This was a great choice being that they’re located across the street from world famous beach Doctor’s cave easy and free access..

This property is smaller than the pictures. Right across the street from Doctors Cove which is free as the resort will give you day passes but have to pay for chairs and umbrellas. Does not offer free transportation to the airport or any snorkel gear or paddle boards etc. Rooms are big, spacious, and clean and staff is friendly. Dining area is small and so is the pool area.
