I waited 15 minutes at the check in desk for someone to finally appear. The carpeting in the hallways is in need of cleaning. Taking into consideration that the decor is geared to a vintage look, the place could still use some updating. This is definitely not a place that is worth 300 per night.

Bed was clean. Building was old. You heard people outside room. Floors creeked from upstairs room. Food average. I complained about refrigerator removed from cabinet. We could not open refrigerator without tilting it back. Asked for housekeeping and the just replaced towels.

Terrible Hotel

Where to start? Once we checked into the hotel, we went to our room. Only one elevator was working. The employee said it was because of a lightning strike, but from reading other reviews this seems to be a problem. We go to our room, and the carpet in the hallway was filthy. Looked like it had not been cleaned in months or maybe years. We could not get into our room. On the third trip up an employee came with a master key. We finally get into our room. We leave to go to eat. We come back and the tv is not working. When we reported it we were told that it was being worked on just to find out three hours later this was a lie. We were without a tv all night. Breakfast the next morning, the hot food was not very warm. Oh and the tv in the breakfast area was working, it was miraculously on its own router from the other tv’s. Did not offer any kind of reduction in price, and unless you are ok with parking your car in a parking garage down the street or on the roadway, you have to pay a 30.00 per day valet. I am not walking downtown Montgomery at night, much less leaving my car on the street. Moral of the story, Embassy Suites, Staybridge, and the Marriott are right down the street. This hotel is NOT Hilton quality.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn! From the moment we arrived, everyone—management, front desk, valet, and hotel staff—was amazing and welcoming. Our room, #602, was a corner room with windows on two sides, giving us a bright and airy space. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfy, making it easy to relax after our day. The location was perfect—within walking distance of our concert venue, and we were able to enjoy dinner and brunch nearby the next day. Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we would definitely return!

No Water in Shower

Our room was nice and comfortable. But, we had no hot water in the sink and NO water in the shower. The maintenance people said the valve was broken and to fix it required the water to be shut off to the entire building. The staff gave us a key to a room down the hall to shower. So, we had no hot water in the sink and had to walk down the hall to shower. The staff knew there was a problem because the maintenance guy had left his tools in our room when we checked in and they still put us in a room without water. The staff was very nice but this could have easily been avoided. The situation made our stay there more difficult than it had to be. We did not ask for a refund but I believe it is warranted.

Excellent all around

We loved the old building! The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was well stocked. The rooms were big and clean. We had three people in the room and had plenty of space.

The 1st room was hotter inside than it was outside!!!! The 2nd rooms bathtub was clogged with a previous guests hair & I had to clear the drain. There was a 12 x12 patch in the ceiling above the tub that looked like it was from a previous water leak and it needed repair REALLY BAD. The water pressure in the sink was almost 0%, the water almost trickeled out. The toilet seat was unbolted on 1 side. This room was OLD, OUTDATED & NEEDED SOME SERIOUS REPAIR. The water pressure and clogged tub tells me that Mgmt and staff DON'T CARE, because there is no way that housekeeping could do their job and not know and report these issues. Oh, and about 2200 another guest tried and entered my room with me & my family!!!! I was able to stop her and she quickly went away.

The staff was as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. The first issue we had was parking. The hotel only does valet parking which is $30 per day. You have two other options which include parking on the street and pay the meter, or a pay by day parking lot. When we got into our room I was floored by the condition of the room. The shower had rust all around the bottom, the sink faucets were on backwards, and when flushing the toilet the first time, the water that refilled it was brown. Rust water!! It finally turned clear after about 7-8 flushes. The window seal had chipped paint all in it with areas of missing paint in other spots. The sheets on the king bed were for a queen or smaller. All we knew is they didn’t fit. The hotel walls had stains on them as well. Yes this is an older hotel but the fact that Hampton hasn’t updated this property is sad. I can’t help but wonder if it’s because of the location. Whatever the reason, the photos that you see on the website is NOT what you pay for. I can honestly say that for almost 500 for two nights, this was robbery in a sense. We are reward members just fyi but reward member or not this property needs some major renovations!! Do better Hampton Inn property owner!!!
