Tucked away on a peaceful hillside in the Blue Ridge mountains, the Aviary is one of the newest retreats. Offering the top amenities (HUGE deck w/ Hot Tub, 2 indoor & 1 outdoor fireplaces, large gameroom w/ arcade) and a gorgeously unique cabin chic décor style. At over 3000 sqft, there's enough space for the whole family! With a walkable pond and incredible star gazing opportunities, this is THE BEST location to enjoy the outdoors and experience Blue Ridge, and just under 15 mins to downtown.

The space:
This house has so much to offer. Pond overlooks, a giant game room, 2 indoor fireplaces and amazing outdoor space.

The main house has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a bedroom and bathroom on each floor:

BR 1: One Queen Bed (main floor)

BR 2: One King Bed (bottom floor) . Open concept layout.

BR 3: Two Queen Beds, 1 twin pullout (bonus private balcony with daybed) (top floor)

Loft: 1 bunk bed w/ trundle, 3 twin beds. Open concept layout.

Game room: 1 Pullout couch (queen, memory foam)

There are also 2 air mattresses (queen and full) available upon request

Fireplaces are operable from Oct - Mar

If you're traveling in an RV or mobile home these can only be parked on site for 48 hours or less.

**DETAILS **

-Main deck: Sweeping views, hot tub, outdoor lounging chairs, 2 outdoor couches, outdoor dining area, propane fire pit and charcoal grill.

- Kitchen: Fully equipped with modern appliances. Plenty of pots and pans as well as mixing bowls for any vacation cooking/baking needs. Spacious granite countertops and a drip coffee maker. There’s plenty of room for family cooking!

- Dining Area: Dining table that seats 8, a bar table that seats 4, plus 4 barstools at the kitchen bar top. There’s plenty of seating for everyone to relax and enjoy meals.

- Living Room: Fireplace, 8 person sofa, chic cabin decor, smart tv and a fireplace. This is a cozy space to enjoy morning coffee, gather with family, and watch a movie.

-Game room: Pool table, ping pong table, arcade, smart tv, 2 leather reclining couches, 6 person table, 4 person bar top and 1 sleeper sofa. 1 Full bathroom.

Arcade games: all the classics (pacman, tetris, space invaders, digdoug, you name it, it’s here).

-Lower deck: More pond overlooks, 2 birdcage chairs, one lounging teepee, one outdoor couch, and one propane heater. Lower gate opens to the firepit.

-Bathrooms: All bathrooms are full bathrooms with either a shower or tub.

-Supplies: Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, hand soap, body wash, laundry detergent, and dish soap are all provided.

We had a great time. The property was well stocked with the items they provided. We had a blast fishing and hanging out on the decks and in the hot tub. The property was quiet and it was fun to watch the deer. The owner was super responsive to any questions we had and made us a priority. I would recommend this property!

Cabin was big, clean and spacious the only thing is that the living room sofa was outdated and not comfortable, very old, the dinning table was sinking in. The host was very nice and responsive. Nice space for family.

The house is beautiful. I cannot complain. Lots of space for a family of 11 . The best part was the decks, private balcony on the top floor , game room and the hot tub. The neighborhood was so peaceful and the view was awesome. This house is a great place if you just want to relax and enjoy.

We took the family here for vacation. The house was very nice and clean. The hot tub was a big deal to the kids. The down stairs game room kept the boys busy the whole time we were there. The view was great for coffee in the morning and drinks at night. The grill was great for burgers and dogs. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and a nice coffee pot. Would def stay here again!!

February Break Weekend

The weekend at the Aviary was a blast. There was ample space at the property to hangout and relax with friends. Whether you are chilling in the hot-tub or star gazing at night, a great time is sure to ensue. I stress the amount of stars you can see past 10 P.M. I have been around the world and have seen many different starscapes, but at the Aviary it is a full 180 degree spectrum of lights in the sky.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. the host was very communicative and easy to work with. The only complaint we had was with some of the amenities provided by the host in the listing. There wasn't any chalk for the pool table, all the darts for the dart board were broken and we could not get all of the games to work on the arcade. We did reach out to the host, and she so graciously sent the house manager over with supplies to try and correct the issues we were experiencing. However, the darts that were brought were still not the correct ones so we could not partake in those and after a detailed explanation of how the arcade works, we still could not get all of the games to work. We were just a little bummed about the amenities, but kids still managed to enjoy themselves.

I have to say this was the best vacation we’ve had. The cabin had enough space for the 4 of us. It was welcoming, clean, decorated nice and very peaceful. It has everything WE needed. The wrap around deck was my favorite. There is a nice fire pit we enjoyed sitting around at night. If you like looking at the stars this is the cabin for you. It is beautiful at night! But the most important part for me was the host Megh. 5 🌟 She was the best. She kept in touch to ensure that we didn’t have any problems and had everything we needed. She seemed very caring. She even responded in a timely manner. How often do you find that? So if you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful, star gazing, spacious cabin to just get away to hit that reset button. This is the place. On top of that it has a great host. We are already planning our return! Thank you Megh for everything we hope to return VERY soon!!😀
