The boutique hotel is nestled beneath Mt Shasta in the middle of downtown. Walk to everything from this ideal location on the historic main street of the City of Mt Shasta. Come experience this very special California mountain town. The Summit Lofts building was built in 1923 and professionally renovated in 2022 with all new furnishings, tile shower and bathtub, smart tv, fast & reliable FIBER internet and luxurious bed sheets.
The Summit Lofts boutique hotel is located in the absolute best location in downtown Mt Shasta. When you get off the highway exit and first see the building, you'll have a good view of Mt Shasta behind it. Upon arrival, you'll notice there are smartlocks throughout the building, allowing for an easy and safe self check-in process. Walking into Room 201, there's plenty of space to set your luggage with a custom-built cedar luggage bench at the entry as well as a folding luggage rack. You'll notice the original, refinished hardwood floors show the cherished character of the building along with a restored Douglas fir door from 1923. New, genuine, thick wool rugs add warmth to the space along with upholstered benches at the foot of each of the two well appointed queen beds. We receive enthusiastic reviews from our guests at the Summit Lofts regarding the new mattresses and bedding that was curated through a lengthy process of trying countless combinations of bedding.
All of our rooms are non-smoking and this room does not allow pets. If you are traveling with a pet, please reserve Room 102 (our only pet friendly room).
You'll find a soft chair by the large windows which makes the perfect spot to drink a cup of coffee in the morning. The windows are all operable so feel free to open them up to allow Mt Shasta's clean air to fill the space.
Looking out the large windows, you'll enjoy seeing people walking and enjoying the historic main street just below your 2nd story vantage point. There's a 58" smart tv in case you decide to relax by watching Hulu+ Live TV (included with your stay) or signing into one of your other favorite subscription services like Netflix or Prime.
Mt Shasta has some excellent restaurants and grocery stores all within walking distance so feel free to bring dinner back to your suite where you'll find a microwave, mini fridge and a dining table which could also serve as a desk if you're looking to get a little work done during your stay. We should mention that the suite has fast and reliable fiber internet!
The bathroom has a deep bathtub with tiled shower, custom built cedar vanity with a quartz countertop. The bathtub is modern and deep along with a subway tiled shower. We provide BeeKind shampoo, conditioner & shower gel with a fragrance that encompasses citrus and honey. BeeKind is carefully crafted from high-quality ingredients and essential oils and contains NO parabens, phthalates or petrol-derived ingredients.
In the morning, you can enjoy a morning walk for a cup of coffee from the award winning coffee shop on the ground floor of the hotel, THEORY Coffee & Bakery. Or you can enjoy Seven Suns, Starbucks or Yak's Shack or try our complimentary Steeped Coffee bags right from your suite by using the tea kettle provided. This space includes a mini fridge, microwave, and tea kettle only. Should you need cooking capacity including plates & utensils, please book Suites 101, 206 or 210.
You'll access the suite through a micro lobby, up one flight of stairs and down a common hallway in the building. If you need a space with few or no stairs, there are 2 ground floor rooms in the hotel, Room 101 and Room 102. Clean room perfect for stay before hitting slopes
We loved this room, it was clean and modern with views of Mount Shasta and the cute little town of Mount Shasta. Walked to Sparkys and had a delicious dinner and cocktails and walked back to room.
This room pretty small. Shower tub a little hard to step into.
Water pressure very bad. Room very loud in the middle of the night when the train went through town at the end of the street. Better would proofing needed.

So Amazing!
Everything was amazing. The shops nearby, the ease into the room, the quietness, there was a police car outside all night. Thank you so much we had such a wonderful, opulent time!
