On the plus side, our room was spacious and nicely appointed with traditional furniture, and the public spaces (the upstairs balcony and the ground floor courtyard) were both charming. In addition, parking in the gated lot was easy and relatively inexpensive ($10), and the inn has a great location near the downtown riverfront. The one big drawback is that the rooms are not very soundproof, making it impossible to sleep in once the early risers and hotel staff got going around 7am.

For the amount I paid for the room, the breakfast needs to drastically be improved. We had to go to the cafe one block away in order to enjoy a home cooked meal which cost extra. My suggestion is that Church Street Inn have an option during the booking process for customers to choose whether to eat at the hotel or eat at a nearby cafe. CSI needs to partner with a near by cafe and offer a voucher for eating elsewhere. Thank you.

The first thing I noticed that the room telephone was not plugged in and it was completely broken. Call 911 couldn’t call anybody from that phone. Black hair is in the tub. I am very short gray hair. Have a roll of toilet paper no Kleenex the gentleman upstairs snored all night. I even had the front desk come in in the morning to listen to the gentleman. They said the owner would call back. I had to leave early for a business. It’s been a week today have not heard back from anyone. Great staff cannot over, pathetic owner

The bed was sooo comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Buffet style, homemade casserole and grits were great! AC worked great. Staff so nice. Mila was helpful. We were missing a couple of items that would COULD have been charged for if we didnt notice them missing , but we told them. No issue. Great price! Beautiful little town.

I really wanted to love it

I really wanted to love this cute boutique hotel, because the staff was so kind on the phone. They helped me extend my reservation, and helped me with restaurant referrals for making reservations for my large gathering of 15. The location is also fantastic, walking distance to cane river and restaurants. The place was cute and clean. Happy hour wine was offered at 4:30, and breakfast was offered. The lobby wasn’t large enough for our group to visit, so we moved to the courtyard, which was nice. The rooms were noisy however. My brother in the next room could hear our conversations. There’s a fire station nearby and we heard several sirens each day. My husband and I are light sleepers and didn’t sleep well.
