Leroy, in particular, was super helpful and always went out of his way to ensure that our needs were met. Whether we needed recommendations for local restaurants or assistance with navigating the city, he was always happy to lend a hand. The housekeeper was also deserving of special mention. She took great pride in her work, making our room feel welcoming and clean on every request. Her attention to detail was impressive, and she always made sure that our room was stocked with fresh towels and amenities. Throughout our stay, we felt like we were treated like family, and the staff's dedication to providing exceptional service was evident in every interaction. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, our experience at the hotel was nothing short of wonderful.

The property was unclean and in very poor condition. Toilet in two rooms would not flush properly and the shower had awful water pressure and would not drain well. The water from my shower the night before was still in the tub when I woke the next day. There was peeling paint on the walls and door, visible dirt on window blinds and walls. I would never stay in this place again. Please do your research before staying.

Our stay was not quite what we expected, originally our room was towards the courtyard, However we were moved last minute to a room attached to the lobby and next to the street. It was unbelievably loud and hard to sleep, the lobby echos and every word can be heard in the room. We know the street and environment can be loud in general, but the lobby playing music or a show all night and guests being checked in during the morning hours caused a lot of discomfort. Cockroaches in the shower too….if you have end up booking maybe just ask to not be in this room.

It’s a hotel with a lot of charm and history. The staff were so great and the location is perfect to walk to the shops and restaurants. I didn’t like that the pool is a 6 min walk away. Also, the air conditioning didn’t work the greatest. The staff tried to remedy the situation, but it was just a little too warm for our liking. Of course, it’s an original hotel, so it’s not an unexpected problem, just wanted to let people know in case they want to bring a fan, etc. overall, it was a very nice stay.

The staff was EXCELLENT! I loved the hospitality, location and history of the building. The ONLY gripe I have is that the AC unit in our room wasn’t working so it was a little uncomfortable.

It was okay. However, we were traveling with other friends and their rooms were very small with tiny bathrooms. The cleanliness was good but the place overall was run down. There were no amenities except for a run down courtyard. Would not stay again.

Rooms are adequate size, bathroom was clean. Nice courtyard. Enjoyed our first day there. Leeroy is professional and nice. Problem can on our last night when we returned to our room and it reeked of smoke. Person in charge stated she had no authority to move us or even open the empty room next to us to see if it smelled. She could not reach manager. Was given managers number when we checked out. Called him when we got home. He said he had to investigate- it’s been over a week- no phone call. We go to New Orleans at least twice a year- never had had complaints- we always give positive reviews. Not this time.

Great Location

Great Historic Hotel. Noisy with drunk guests and a few things needed better upkeep and corners needed cleaned better. Would stay here again. Great location!!!
