The first room reeked of mold/mildew smell, we were moved to another room that was 90% better but still smelled bad especially when the AC was on. We noticed patched water damaged area on the wall of the AC. When we went to breakfast we noticed the lobby ceiling and wall (that was near our first room), and dining area, had a lot of water damage and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The staff was super kind and said they were under construction refurbishing, but it really seems like the whole place should have been shut down until they fixed everything. I did not have transportation or ability to stay anywhere else or I would have.

First, the front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful, the WiFi worked well, and the room was mostly clean. This review is really directed toward the property management and owners. The hotel itself is extremely dated and has a noticeable musty smell throughout. Our door barely shut and wouldn’t lock properly. The bathroom had peeling paint, a shower door rusted along the bottom, and even a roach. The air conditioning worked only intermittently, and the TV offered very basic channels. We were placed in a room at the very end of the hallway next to the stairwell, and someone was constantly opening and slamming the door, which made it hard to relax. The bathroom was also extremely small, and the room was stocked with only decaf coffee.

Breakfast waffles had a weird taste on Saturday morning. Me and my wife both took a bite and had a sweet twang to it so we tossed it. The a/c in the room was set low but never cooled off. We had the suite and the a/c on that side worked good so we tolerated it. Saturday front desk receptionist was not friendly at all. The lady that work when we checked in was very personable and enjoyed conversation with her. Rooms were clean.

This was a quick stop for us on a roadtrip. The area felt secure and there was a Waffle House next door. I feel like the property is undergoing renovation at the moment but everything was comfortable and clean and the staff was kind at check-in and check out.
