Comfortable Stay at the Laurel
Publié le 3 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayQuiet neighborhood for a restful night’s sleep. Friendly host who offered suggestions of things to do. Was nice to have breakfast served each morning - pressed coffee, juice, pastries, yogurt and bananas. TV had lots of stations so we could watch NCAA tournament. Don’t miss the sculpture garden at City Park nearby.

Mother and (grown)son weekend trip!
Publié le 24 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a great time enjoying the neighborhood! Don't miss the food and music along frenchman road. Laura is awesome and the place is perfect.. We walked stringly around the neighborhood at night and felt safe. It's a great.

Weekend getaway

Room was very clean and had lots of teavel broshures and the host had made a list of peraonal recommendations that you could read at your leisure. We really enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend the Laurel. It was in a quiet neighborhood but only a few minutes from most of the attractions.

An Easy Stay for a Stay in the Big Easy

The location, the home and our accommodations exceeded our expectations – as did Laura who shared her knowledge, experience and recommendations for the type of “off the beaten path” experiences we hoped to enjoy.
City Park and all it offers – incredible grounds, NOMA, the outdoor sculpture garden and more are a short, easy and safe 5–10-minute walk from the home. Getting to and from downtown (The French Quarter, Jackson Square and more) was just as easy for us via the Streetcar and bus services, so there was no need to fight for or overpay for a parking spot.
All in all, we had a wonderful time, and it was made even more so by Laura. We not only hope to stay with her again, but highly recommend Laura and her home to anyone considering a trip to New Orleans.

Great location; great property
