A decent enough hotel however, definitely in need of a refresh. The rooms were clean enough and it was fine for an overnight and service waa good, but would expect more given the price paid. Unsure if we were given the older rooms or if there were better rooms.

Stay for WOMAD

The location is very convenient for the centre as well as sites just outside like Pukekura Park and Brooklands Park where WOMAD takes place. There was daily housekeeping and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when i needed to book an extra night.. The room and shared hotel facilities were clean. It doesn't currently have on site cafe/restaurant, but there are a number of really good places within a short walk. It's close to the local bus services and the coastal walk which is a beautiful walk in places. It has a guest laundry which i found useful. The hotel itself despite being close to town, felt quite peaceful and relaxed. I would happily stay again.

I booked same day, paid almost $400. Showed up and everything was closed, staff member told me they were booked out yet online it stated there were 4 rooms available, I was told to deal with it on my own, even though I’d just paid towards to hotel. The staff member was probably new because he was absolutely useless lol. They clearly have an issue when it comes to things online, In the future I’d call before booking anything, especially with this hotel

The 2 bedroom suite although it has a good lounge area, the bedrooms have no windows which felt quite unusual. The aircon was very noisey and cold. Would not stay here agin.
