Cabin was clean and very well stocked. Location was very good, too. Convenient to good hiking in and around Hocking Hills SP and close enough to drive into Logan for dinner or supplies. Cabin was private enough, too, (nearest cabin was visible through the bare winter trees but far enough away to feel secluded) and also not located right on the road- unlike quite a few others in the area. Great stay overall and would definitely stay here again.
Oak Cabin was clean and comfortable, but a lot of small things just add up to a just okay stay. The welcome message says the wifi would be labeled one thing and have a certain password. That wasnt even an option, and when i contacted the host, they reiterated the incorrect informatjon. It turned out to be the generic name and password that came with the router (printed on the router). The hot tub wasnt working, so (with some texted guidance from the host) had to find the breaker which was outside, in the dark, well above my head/reach, and flip it back on. The hottub was also pretty murky, though the listing said it is cleaned after every stay. The second day, I opted for a bubble bath after hiking all day. The tub leaked all over the floor. The bed was comfortable, but had a very crinkly and plastic feeling mattress protector on it, which makes for a very hot sleep. Overall, it's a cute cabin, but for the price, it wasn't worth all the little inconveniences. And it's super close to several other cabins owned by the same company. It is very conveniently located to Ash Cave and has a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating.
The property was beautiful. We enjoyed the firepit every night. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.It was only a few miles to Ash Cave. My husband and I had a great weekend here and would recommend Oak cabin.
