Hello, I’m writing to share my disappointment with my recent stay. While the hotel itself is beautiful and the housekeeping staff were absolutely wonderful, several issues made our experience extremely frustrating. There was loud construction directly outside our window, which made it nearly impossible to sleep. After a long flight, we were exhausted and desperately needed rest. This level of noise was extremely disruptive and not something we were warned about in advance. When we contacted the front desk to request extra blankets, the receptionist was not helpful or kind and simply told us there were no blankets available, without offering any alternative or assistance. Additionally, the staff member helping with our luggage seemed visibly bothered when we asked questions about our bags, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We also tried calling the front desk multiple times with no answer. When someone finally did pick up, it sounded as though the phone was answered and immediately hung up, which was very upsetting. We were charged $255 at check-in and refunded only $138. Given the noise, lack of rest, and poor service we experienced, I do not feel this was fair for a stay we genuinely did not enjoy. Again, the property itself and the housekeeping ladies were excellent, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope you will consider offering a complimentary future stay or appropriate compensation to make up for this experience. Thanks, Alicexandra

Excellent location right next to Harold Square, 4 min walk to the Empire State Building, easily jump on subway to explore all over Manhattan. Clean rooms, great staff. All around a great experience.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was great—close to a lot of things and quiet (as far as street noise was concerned). The reason I can’t rate the hotel higher is because the beds were extremely uncomfortable and hard. If you’re into that, then this is the hotel for you. For us however, it felt like we were sleeping on a ping pong table and we woke up with a backache every morning. The last day of our stay, I actually considered trying to sleep in the office chair with a pillow since the beds were so bad. The other thing that made it difficult to sleep was the loud heater. Because of those two issues, I can’t rate it higher.

The hotel was under renovation and that was NOT disclosed during the booking. There should have been a discounted rate because there was absolutely no view from our 14th floor room. All the staff were friendly and professional, especially the doormen/bellmen. They were extremely friendly and honestly provided the best customer service. They greeted people as the entered and exited the building. We eat at the restaurant, which food was not prepared correctly, partial order were ice cold and eggs were totally over cooked. There was no discount provided ($15/night) and when I called to inquire about getting the credit placed back on my card, I was placed on long hold and then disconnected.
