Firstly, the accommodation is in a residential neighborhood. Do not go up the stairs, the poor resident seems to be over people ringing the doorbell thinking thatâs where the hotel is. Your entrance is through a side door which would be a little creepy to enter through at night. The common space is shared with other people staying in the other rooms. The place feels a little rundown. The walls are thin I could hear what the person in the room next to me was watching on tv. And the doors feel like they could get busted through easily. Overall I did not like it here. I checked out early. The only good things were that it was shelter for the one night I stayed and the bed was comfortable.
The room was not ready when we arrived. It was supposed to be ready for check in at 2 PM. We arrived at 3 PM and they were just starting to clean up. We into the room about 4 PM. We found that there were only one medium size bath towel for each of us for the full week. There was no soap, no shampoo soap for the shower. There was no washcloths no bathmat. The shower curtain barely covered the tub so water leaked over the tub wall. The water was scolding hot. The the kitchen had pots and pans and a few sets of dishes, which were not apparent upon arrival, but there was no flatware no paper towels, no towels for drying the dishes. So basically it was like moving into a studio apartment where you had to supply everything on your own. I did communicate with the owner that evening that it was unusual to not have a extra towel each and do not have any washcloths soap, shampoo, bathmat, etc., and he did later supply us with an extra towel, each and washcloth and shampoo and conditioner and soap. I didnât communicate early on that the water was scolding hot. I did communicate at the end and he just said well yeah you can adjust the heat at the faucet. I said no at the water heater. You need to cool it down because otherwise you will burn Anyway it was rather rather disappointing. Stay. The it was actually a house that was a three-story house with the top floor apparently rented to someone full-time and the middle and bottom floor apparently rented nightly. (legal??)
Host and housekeeper were very friendly and accommodating. Clean space, large kitchen with plenty of cooking supplies, dishes, and silverware. Large, affordable grocery store with plenty of fresh produce half a mile away, plenty of smaller stores and restaurants within a 5-15 minute walk. Fast wifi. Good for any length of stay, but especially if you will be there for longer periods of time.
I had the opportunity to stay in this incredible apartment in Newark and I can say it was an amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in a welcoming and pleasant environment. The apartment was perfect, with modern decor and impeccable cleanliness.
But what really impressed me was the kitchen! It was spacious and complete, with all the utensils and equipment needed for a great stay. The refrigerator, stove, toaster... everything was new and in perfect condition. I felt like I was in my own home!
And the best part is that the host was incredible! He was very helpful and friendly, and did everything to make my stay even more enjoyable.
I definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable place to stay in Newark. It's a true oasis in the city!
