The starlight motor inn is a gem. We felt so at home from the moment we walked in, from the friendly team, to the comfortable spaces. No detail was spared renovating the space, it is truly beautiful. We agreed the first night even before we experienced how comfy the beds were that this was our spot when we travel to Charleston. The burgundy lounge is such an added bonus to have around the corner from your room. Jessie the bar manager was fantastic, the drinks were phenomenal and the live entertainment was great. It also felt so quick and convenient to get anywhere we wanted in town with a quick drive or uber, and we appreciated being away from the downtown tourist feel. We will absolutely be back!

The hotel is remodeled and clean. They have a lounge and it was fabulous. The ladies that work there were sweet and make great drinks.

I loved the vintage feel of this hotel! Bed was super comfortable. No comment on the staff as we never interacted with them other than through texts. Rooms have a door code that was sent via text. While I had many text that provided the information that was necessary. I still like the old fashioned check in where I get to talk to a person. We wanted to check out the lounge but never found it. Just moved on to visit places in Park Circle instead. I would recommend this place for the cool vibe and I would stay here again.

This is an old place that has been updated. Management was not always on-site, but they always responded quickly when contacted. Not the greatest location, but it was convenient and at no time did we not feel safe. Parking was a bit tight, but plentiful.

When we arrived there were men in the parking lot staying below our unit smoking marijuana, and the room itself when we stepped inside smelled like mold/mildew. We left immediately informing staff we would not be staying. We were advised we would receive a refund and have yet to receive it. I would highly discourage booking at this motel.
