Had the best time. Very clean and beach was fantastic. Not much shade but you could rent umbrella for 15 dollars a day. Was well worth it.

The good: the staff, the beach, the property, the drinks, the cleanliness, the service, etc etc. Not one complaint about how gorgeous it was or how clean or how accommodating and polite every single staff member was. Everyone worked very hard to provide the best service possible and we were happy. The bad: the food was pretty awful. I get that it’s hard to provide different styles of food for such a large and varied circulation of guests, but when even the tacos are so-so…come on. Anyway, the Steakhouse wasn’t bad, and the buffet was hit or miss. The Italian was bad. Kyoto’s was not good. Room service was terrible. The American Bar was also meh. Pepe’s was ok in a pinch, but overall, all things edible were super disappointing unless it was fruit or pastries. All that being said, I didnt realize how important food is on vacation, and anyone here praising the food is obviously a rube who has never had a decent meal.

The place is beautiful! Spotless, rooms are great, beach is awesome and the water perfect for swimming. The staff is ten out of ten. They work hard to make your experience enjoyable. My only complaint was the food. Not so great. We did the buffet, the Steakhouse, Kyoto,l Italian, the American Bar, and Pepe's. All of it was disappointing. But to be fair, its probably hard to offer so many different varieties of food and make it amazing.

Facilities were clean, food was sub par an unimpressive. Pools were to hot at 95 and party pool was closed for two days. Riu white party was advertised but found out that the sister hotel that held the party was closed. We will not be going back to the Riu Palace.

Drinks were watered down. Not many options for the breakfast buffet. The dinner options was not good. The only place that we liked was the steakhouse and Krystal restaurant. All the other restaurants (including the sports bar and pool bar food) was either to salty or greasy. We had upsets stomach during our 5 days stay. The hotel does have nice amenities and the place is very Jude and clean. I was just disappointed with the food

Room service did not deliver our meal to us. We called and they said they must’ve delivered it to another room and never offered to re-deliver And they were painting next to us and the fumes were terrible. The food and service was fabulous!

Likes: nice staff, convenient property layout, quiet pool (vs party pool), great cocktail options, decent food options. Breakfast was our favorite. Went to Italian restaurant several times. Loved the sports bar. Beach was pretty serene. Dislikes: VERY noisy at night in rooms above the music venue, limited overall entertainment options, chicken parm at the Italian restaurant (that was chicken)? Lobby could use a style/decor refresh.

Great resort - loved it! Service was terrific. Resort was very clean and well kept up. Noisy in the evening while the shows were underway - roughly 8:30-11:00pm. Sept. weather was very hot and humid with little or no relief from the pools or ocean.

Our second stay at Riu Palace. First time since it converted to adults only. All I have to say is wow. The hotel grounds and pool are immaculate. The changes made to restaurants and lobby and rooms are excellent. Love the coffee shop and the craft cocktail station set up in the evenings. All our food and drinks were excellent. Service at check in, bars and restaurants was always excellent. We did experience below average service once at Guacamole the Mexican themed restaurant but that was not the norm. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting PV and will definitely stay here again.
