Our checking process was somewhat slow since we had to wait almost an hour to get into our room. We had issues with outlets not working. The outlet by the mini bar was lose and would work intermittently. On one side of the bed the USB port didn’t work and there was no outlet to charge the cellphones. The bed was super comfortable, the food was amazing with a superior variety of foods. Even picky eaters can find something to enjoy. The staff worked really hard and were always willing to accommodate us. I ‘d like to suggest that you serve kids portions at the Italian restaurant to avoid waste. Longer hours at the kids play area would have been great.

I was highly disappointed. When I booked my trip I booked a room with a double bed and an ocen view. I paid additional for the ocean view. However, I received a room with one bed and a sofa bed. The room i received was completely blocked by palm trees hence I could not see the ocean. When i spoke to management I was told that it is Travelocity fault because they knew that asking for a room with a double bed and ocean it was only a recommendation and was not guaranteed so, why did i pay additional fees. The second day of my trip management at the resort reached out to me and said that they are overbooked and can change my room but it would be a room worst than the one I was in. I feel like it was a bait and switch, I did not received what i paid for

I was not able to get there because the flight I was booked on was full. I am an employee of American Airlines and I was on standby and there was only one flight to Montego Bay, I even looked for another day and it was all booked. This was a surprise trip for my grandson’s birthday, this was out of my control please provide a refund, if there is a cancellation fee I understand. Thank you in advance God bless!!

I would not stay at this resort again. 10/10 would NOT recommend. They only have colored towels for the rooms that smell like they hadn’t been washed, very musty. Asked for white towels. They didn’t have any. All the towels smelled like they hadn’t been cleaned. The rooms had a weird smell too. Like they hadn’t changed the air filters, a moldy smell. The food at the specialty restaurants is the same food served at the buffet. The entertainment takes place at the main stage 95% of the time not entertaining at all.

The food options were great and the property is just off the end of the highway. Beautiful scenary of the beach and grounds. The only problem that stood out to me is that food is not accessible after hours i.e. from 10pm to 7am.

Our family of 11 spent a week at RIU Ocho Rios and were pleasantly surprised that we were easily able to make dinner reservations at the various restaurants once we understood how to use the apps. We had three family rooms next to each other in building 4 next to the water park. Great for the grandkids. Each room had to make a separate reservation but there was a way to add a request to be seated together. Having cell phones with an international plan was essential!! The kids loved to nightly entertainment. A highlight was taking a catamaran on a snorkeling/Dunn’s Falls excursion booked through Mr. D. There were plenty of beach chairs so that we always had a spot on the beach.

Upon arrival the room tv was cracked and sound didnt work properly also remote had no batteries and waited till next day for replacements also its not even a smart tv. Also the fridge was not restocked after we drank the sodas and beer we had to call for refreshments for the room it was sent the next morning. additionally the ackee and saltfish was poorly prepared was loaded with BONES and the salt mackerel .. on the beach no one provided drinks we had to get them ourselves as for the establishment it was very beautiful outside of these issues...

The beach was beautiful. The facility was clean. Staff was amazing. However, do not lose your wrist band, you will not receive another unless you are willing to pay $250usd. I went to Dunn's River Falls, and my band somehow got lost. I had a day and a half left at the resort but they were still insisting that I pay for another. I did not, but if security sees you without it, you will have some explaining to do.
