Basic but functional. Don't expect any frills - such as a TV in the room or anywhere to store clothes other than two hangers and the floor - and you won't be disappointed. The communal fridge makes it seem a bit like a hostel. But it's 5 minutes from the main train station and one block from Oslo's main street so it's certainly convenient.

The fit-out is in dire straits condition. Hole in the wall, broken toilet seats, run down door jamb. We would not recommend to stay in this hotel.

Listed as with AC by Expedia but had none. The balcony room was tiny and the door to the balcony could not be locked, so someone next door could easily enter. The room was hot with minimal ventilation. The tech said it was working normally. Directions to operate the bathroom heater by the staff member was inaccurate so I roasted even more until the tech corrected the misinformation. Finally I was given a fan. Felt like I was in a third world country! Supplies in the room were spartan. Not even a glass. The Citybox bistro was good and location was good, but I won't be going back. I pay for sleep and comfort and was disappointed on both counts.

I booked this location mainly due to ita proximity to the train station. The hotel was less than 10 minutes walking and easy to find. Self check in was easy and ability to store luggage due to early arrival was great. The only public transportation we used was the ferry, otherwise we walked everywhere. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. This location has a lot of good common areas. A communal kitchen where you can store food, microwave, hot water pot. The only negative thing was that someone took my yogurt even thouth it was label. We took the public train (ruter) in from the airport, but we had to take the flytoget train since it was early. If you buy the city oslo pass it covers the train and public transportation. Just check schedule times it operates. We did not know about the schedule hours and were lucky the flytoget train was operating at 5am. BTW we walked to the train staion at 5am and it was safe. In general i always felt safe in Scandinavian countries. There are grocery stores nearby where we got sandwiches, salads, and drinks. Food in Oslo is expensive. Water is safe to drink from the faucet. Bring your water bottle. Return cans for your deposit at grocery stores such as Joker..

Firstly this is a budget hotel in a very central location. Oslo is a very expensive city so saving money on accommodation is very important to us. The cleanliness of this hotel was not up to the usual CityBox standard.

It was wonderfully close to the train station. The room was clean and check in was a breeze. Staff are kind and helpful. Extremely small room. I’m 5.0” and normal Build, anyone over that would have difficulty moving around the room, the location was very noisy, we were unable to rest as we heard cars, motorcycles, people talking and waking outside all night until the morning. The room was very humid, hot, with no circulation, we tried to keep the window open but couldn’t because the noise was too much. There wants any tissues and No TV which isn’t a problem if you enjoy your company or don’t watch tv. For us it was wasn’t the deal breaker, it’s all the other things that would not put this place back on our list again.
