Review of Les Suites Hotel (Stay: August 31–September 1) This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we opened the door, we were shocked at how dirty the room was. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned in ages—it gave an immediate impression of neglect and poor housekeeping. Honestly, if we had any other choice that night, we would have walked right back out. Things only got worse from there. The air conditioning didn’t work at all, and the room became unbearably hot. We tried to open the window for some relief, but the air outside was heavily polluted, making it impossible to breathe comfortably. It felt like there was no escape—either suffer in the heat or deal with the terrible air quality. For a hotel in such a central location, the lack of cleanliness, basic maintenance, and comfort was completely unacceptable. We expected at the very least a clean, properly functioning room, and instead, we got the opposite. We will never stay at this hotel again and strongly recommend others to look elsewhere. There are plenty of options in Ottawa—don’t waste your money or comfort here.

Staff seems nice and helpful. Elevator is a big issue, it was easier to walk to the floor to access parking than waiting for the elevator, especially check out time. Parking space is limited and very tight.

Zero communication about the 30 dollar a day parking until arrival. Great spot wonderful staff! just feels a little underhanded the way an option/necessity like parking is omitted for price/value marketing strategies. All in all a great place, and I’m ok to pay for it, but transparency is important.

Room was very nice and much more spacious than I expected. Hotel is located in the busy downtown core and was a bit difficult to find the tiny check in parking area. Everything is within walking distance.

The carpet in the first room was soaking wet and made the room smell really bad. We couldn’t sleep it smelt so bad. They did bring a fan, but because the hotel was full couldn’t move us. The second night we were moved and the room was fantastic.

Hotel location is close to all attractions in walking distance. However if you are driving there it can be a challenge to park. Hotel parking was fully booked that we had to park in Indigo parking lot, which cost extra charge. Considering the hotel is at a most popular area, street noise will penetrate the window to hotel room. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest to bring ear plugs. Or the hotel should have prepared for guests.

Great spot. Suites are pretty good but they aren’t always clean and have been disappointed the last two times I went and have to call down for them to come wash the floors. Our socks were black. Parking large vehicles is also a major problem and the ‘big truck’ spots should not be occupied by small compact cars - but, hôtel accommodated me and I parked outside. So that was good. Will stay here again for the suite convenience.

Was given a room as not advertised, was dirty, smelly and dark. We were moved to another room which was brighter and an extra washroom but the carpets were dirty and vents were very dusty which got me sick. I have had better rooms and service during my previous stays but this time wasnt enjoyable. Not sure if i would book again

Everything about the hotel was excellent. However, I think perhaps the elevator maintenance company could program the elevator response so that all elevators are dealing with the demand and there is not so much time spent by clients waiting for the elevator. Also, some indication on each floor of where each of the elevators is would be helpful. The carts we use to get our gear to and from the room and the lobby perhaps could be put in a locked parking stall apparatus in the lobby requiring some "deposit" like 3 or 4 toonies so that the carts would be returned immediately after use for others moving in or out. Thank you for a great stay!

There is an “alt rock” night club across the street which is insanely loud several nights a week. It made it incredibly hard to sleep several nights while we were there. I know not really the hotels fault but I’d wouldn’t stay there again because of it. We also had one of the traditional rooms which was clean but long overdue for a renovation.
