Publié le 5 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location is nice but the home is very outdated. The problem with this place is that you will receive multiple calls and messages from the owners before, during, and after my stay.
The owner will make you sign a separate lease agreement after you book through VRBO. They will then send you a secondary set of instructions on the day you check in with separate rules in addition to the agreement you sign.
These rules include the fact that they have cameras with audio throughout the property. It felt like an invasion of privacy.
The owner will add extra charges to your credit card after leaving the home. They claimed that the charges were for scratching their poker table when our group never used the room that it was in.
The owner then stated that our group did not make the scratch but stated that the group caused their cleaning team 4 extra hours of cleaning because we did not start a load of towels.
I then had to interact with them multiple times over the next few weeks because of the extra cleaning required and the charges associated with it.
If you stay at this place, be prepared to have the owner be a part of your life for a month. Take pictures of everything when you leave.

Thanks for the details of your complaint. Of the over 120 reviews, two were not 5 stars and both those had some of their damage deposit withheld for damage or extra cleaning time. The cameras we have are fully disclosed in our description and are for property security and Amazon delivery. There is no camera around the hot tub or inside the house. We call every guest to make sure our property is RIGHT FOR THE GUEST. We are happy to send anyone pictures to explain our $75 extra charge for this guest. The floors were left muddy from tracking dirt throughout the living area. Your group did stay in the apartment with the table. The extra communication explains our check out instructions. We send some extra communication about our community rules, since we are part of an HOA. No on else has ever complained about extra contact as we try to provide information about things to do in the area. And extra information about our house. We also usually call or email to see if everything is OK. If anyone is concerned, we highly recommend guests take pictures before and after they leave if they feel something is wrong. We feel extremely good about our past guests comments. I guess we couldn’t please 2 out of 120 guests. Thank you

Pagaosa Cabin

Snowboarding a couple times, Snow mobile ride, good thai food and soaked in the hot springs (a little stinky though). Cabin had everything we needed (or could want) to make meals, coffee, etc. Beds were very cozy. Beautiful starry nights and amazing sun rises

Friend & Family Getaway

Have been renting homes in Pagosa for the past 30 years and would rate this at the top.Will definitely be going back

Lovely Log Cabin outside Pagosa Springs
Publié le 15 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe owner and I communicated well. The house was divine, the location was beautiful. The house came stocked with everything we needed and the grocery store was 5 minutes away. The views from the house were spectacular and it was a great stepping off point to our National Park adventures and adventures in general. The hot tube was great after a day of hiking, and there was plenty for the children to do from Bocci and horse shoes, to the disc golf course. I would absolutely stay here again and I have already suggested the place to my friends.

Don’t let the beauty fool you….
Publié le 21 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThese owners are not the kind of people you want to deal with before, during or after your stay.
First there’s the phone call to see if you’re a good “fit” for their property. These were the owners words during our call, and it sure felt like profiling to me.
Next comes the barrage of emails and documents to sign and return, almost 40 pages of stuff were sent for my party to agree too.
Then, while you are on vacation, the wife of the owner starts texting you to water their plants around the property….seriously some random person you have never had contact with asks you for this while you are on vacation paying them over $400 per night.
Then you leave and they charge you for replacement of items that are clearly old and sun damaged(spa cover) that our party saw in good condition as we departed. I wouldn’t be surprised if the cleaner gets a kickback for “finding” damage. Not to mention the master room upstairs has the lock installed backwards so you can lock people IN the room, and they can only exit the room if someone lets them out.
Like I said, don’t waste your time or precious vacation time with these owners.

Sorry you feel this way Jason. We have done the above for over 6 years and this the first time we have received these type comments and the first time we have not received a 5 * review. BTW we depreciated the cost for the damaged item. And that is the first time we
have heard about the lock on the door. We had our handyman get out there as soon as you told us about that and had that fixed. And no I did not call to ask if you were a good fit for our property, I called to make sure that our property is what you were looking for. Again, I have made the same call for over 6 years. I am sorry that our property did not meet your expectations. Best of luck in the future.
