Enjoy expansive views of the San Jacinto Mountains from this 4BR/3BA historic Mid-Century Modern gem situated in Taquitz River Estates, 1 mile south of downtown Palm Springs. Built in 1948, La Palmerita has been completely gutted and renovated while maintaining its mid-century charm. Relax in the fully hedged and gated private outdoor oasis, complete with outdoor dining and sitting areas, swimming pool, hot tub, multiple fire features, and a brand new bocce ball court.

LIVING AREAS
Curl up on the modern sofa or one of the mid-century barrel chairs and play a game or watch a movie in the living room.
A 58" LED Smart TV with Google Chromecast and Apple TV built-in allows for endless streaming possibilities. A gas fireplace provides warmth on chilly desert evenings and adds to the warm ambiance.

KITCHEN & DINING
Enjoy cooking in the well-equipped modern kitchen, offering updated Bosch appliances, including refrigerator, gas range and dishwasher. The center island provides plenty of prep space, as well as a wine cooler and built-in garbage receptacles. A custom banquette and large dining table allows for the groups to enjoy meals together while taking in the views of the beautiful yard and mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything a chef would need to prepare delicious meals and also provides ample storage for groceries.

BEDROOMS & BATHS
This home includes 4 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Per city ordinances, each bedroom sleeps 2, for a maximum occupancy of 8. The showers are equipped with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

The large master bedroom boasts clerestory windows with unmatched west-facing views of the San Jacinto mountains, vaulted ceilings, a California king sized bed, mid-century accent chairs and a desk, perfect for those working from home . The en-suite master bathroom features a large walk-in shower, oversized soaking tub and designer wallpaper. A 55" LED Smart TV completes the space.

The third bedroom features a queen sized bed and sliding glass doors opening to the expansive front yard with mature olive and palm trees. Enjoy a movie on the 75" flat screen tv.

A sliding pocket door walls off the hallway to the third bedroom and creates a guest suite complete with its own bathroom with walk-in shower.

The fourth bedroom is an attached casita, meaning that it is part of the structure of the house, but it has a separate entrance in the backyard (about 7 feet from the sliding glass doors into the kitchen). It features a 55” smart tv and designer wallpaper.

OUTDOOR AREAS
Enjoy your morning coffee on the front patio, which provides panoramic views of the San Jacinto Mountains, while remaining completely private behind 8 foot hedges. Take in breathtaking mountain views from all around the back yard, where you’ll also find the private swimming pool with hot tub, 2 fire pits, outdoor kitchen, bocce ball court, and outdoor shower. An outdoor table provides seating for eight. Additional lounge sitting areas are provided next to the pool, around the fire pit, and near the bocce ball court, so you can enjoy a beverage and watch a game, or simply take in the stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains. Pool heating, if requested, is an additional $50 per day. Pool heating should not be needed May through October. Please inquire as to current pool temperatures.

Enjoy cooking outdoors in the luxury designer outdoor kitchen, complete with state-of-the-art Lynx BBQ grill, side burner, fridge and ice maker, perfect for keeping your drinks cool in the hot summer months.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS WELL-MANAGED PROPERTY
Upon arrival, easily access your vacation home with a key-less secure door code we will provide you. No need for an in-person key exchange but our Property manager will meet and greet you and show you the property details. Your rental will be delivered to you professionally cleaned and ready for you to enjoy and relax in. Your home will include a detailed written overview guide providing home details, local suggestions, Wi-Fi access, TV instructions, fire pit instructions and more. Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am.

If you need anything at all before, during, or after your stay, our 24/7 local home manager is always ready to help!

Other things to note
Please read the house rules carefully and share them with all booked guests. The City of Palm Springs prohibits amplified noise (including music) outdoors at all times. Violations of the PS Noise Ordinance can result in a $500 citation, and three citations result in a revocation of our short-term vacation rental permit. While we do not make these rules, we do enforce them, so we appreciate your adherence, which will allow others to continue to enjoy La Palmerita!

Wonderful 6 week stay but burglarized in our sleep

The good: This was a great house. We very much enjoyed the pool, grilling space, newly remodeled bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. The house manager went above and beyond helping us unload our car, providing a wonderful fruit basket upon our arrival, and showing us the ins and outs of the property. He provided rugs, when I mentioned the slippery (all concrete) floor when entering from the pool. He kindly gave us a $100 dinner gift card for the favor of allowing contractors to do work during our stay. We regretted accepting the gift, when a 1-2 visits became many more, leaving us feeling like someone would be dropping in at any time. Just made us uncomfortable. 3 weeks into our stay, we returned from dinner, closed the gate, locked the doors, went to bed, and awoke to the door off the pool being wide open. We slowly discovered our echo show was missing on the patio, then purses (with wallet, id, credit cards, check book), my laptop, car keys, and ultimately our car. Intruders located the key in the living room, opened the gate and drove off with our car and belongings. We concluded that one of the three sliders in back off the pool (in the walled off yard) was in fact unlocked with no forced in entry. We must have missed a door! Undoubtedly, someone had been scouting us..."a crime of opportunity" just looking for a "missed" unlocked door according to police. This yard is completely walled off, includes an electronic gate across the driveway, locked front entry gate, auto lock front door, ring doorbell that picked up none of the activity, except some rustling bushes near the gate at 4am. My credit cards were used at 7am at two shell gas stations, and a walmart.

This property is a little oasis - that feels like you're on vacation - when you're on vacation! We had a great stay and the house was appointed beautifully. Easy process and communication. HIGHLY Recommended.
