​We cannot understand the 8+ rating. While the location and views of the sandy beach are genuinely fantastic, the hotel itself is badly in need of a renovation. The rooms are very outdated, featuring stains on the carpets and rust everywhere both in the main room and the bathroom. Even the elevator had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. ​We stayed for a few nights and, honestly, would not rate it higher than a 6. The money they charge is not justified by the current state of the rooms and should absolutely be used for urgent upgrades. It has incredible potential, but it's sad to see it so wasted.

This is an old hotel that really could use some updating. For the price is mostly clean. The rooms are very clean. Has a nice pool nice hot tub and excellent location on the beach. I have a small bar and grill next to the pool where the bartender shown makes great drinks a very reasonable price. They have a very simple food menu that works for lunch or a good snack Overall for the prices a wonderful place to stay for a long weekend

Budget by the sea

The name should have been a give away but when i paid up to stay here instead of the Hilton, I had much higher expectations. If all you care about is being right on the beach at a cheaper price, this is the place for you. The restaurant/bar is open 3 nights a week. The internet is slow. Everything is slowly decaying in front of you, to include the elevator that doesn't work. Lastly, when they say check in is at 4, they mean it. Unlike most hotels i have stayed in across the world, check in is not at 1 or 2. But if you want to get in your room before 4, you can pay $33! I think next time, i will pay less to stay at a nice place and walk the 7 or 8 blocks to the beach.

My daughter and I drove over six hours for what we hoped would be a relaxing night at Beachside Resorts in Panama City, FL. What we found was shocking. The property looked neglected from the moment we arrived: cracked and stained concrete floors, trash in multiple areas, and only one extremely slow elevator that was always crowded with staff. It felt unsafe and poorly maintained. Our room was even worse. The floors were sticky, the carpets filthy, the bathroom drain barely worked, and the entire room smelled wet and musty. Everything felt grimy to the touch, and we didn’t even want to sit on the bed. After briefly visiting the beach, we decided we couldn’t stay overnight and drove another five hours home with my young daughter. When I asked for a refund, I was told to go through Hotels.com, who contacted the property—but Beachside refused. We paid for a clean, safe, comfortable stay and got none of that. This was unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
