Well situated apartment that fell short of expectations 😐

It was quite difficult to communicate with Merveil, the host agency, until the day prior to arrival when we were already en route. Several key pieces of information were not communicated prior to our departure which left us in a stressful situation of uploading documents and securing a deposit five minutes before our ride arrived. The apartment is decorated in a lovely way, however, the curtains dividing the two bedrooms do not close completely on one side and they cover glass and not a true wall. The cleanliness left something to be desired: mold in the shower corners and fuzzy dust on the cord behind the towel warmer and bathroom exhaust fan. Once we arrived, the agency communicated well, however, we are still waiting for the wifi password. It is situated in a buzzing area with lots of wonderful restaurants. It was a very mixed experience.

Good location but disappointed

We were 2 adults and 1 child, and we stayed for 4 nights
 Firstly, the communication was challenging as they ie the agency Merveil (not owner managed) only uses Vrbo for messaging and without internet it wasnt working and was very spotty even when there was Wi-Fi
They didnt bothered to share the Wi-Fi password with me until I asked for it. Secondly, the apartment is NOT as pictured. It is cheap, worn out and dusty. It could at the very minimum use a good deep cleaning. It does NOT have 3 toilets and 2 showers as the listing states. The only toilet/WC smelled of urine, and the 2nd bath with only a shower & sink smelled of sewage. The 3rd bath which only had a tiny shower and a sink the size of my palm but at least it didnt stink. The street noise kept me up until 2am as there is a bar downstairs and during the day there were multiple constructions going on outside across the street. The apartment next door was doing construction as well until 9pm. I msged the agent and they did nothing about it. Worst part was when the workers left at 9pm, the electricity went out! I called the emergency contact number and no one called nor came to see why the electricity went out. We spent the night without electricity and no one ever bothered to call or check on us. We will never stay here nor at any Merveil managed property again.

Wonderful Paris

Fantastic location. Property as represented. Quiet street. Spartan kitchen. Comfortable beds. Netflix and Prime access a plus. Second bath sink small. One toilet. Great unit for two people.

Great location, Great Communication, apartment itself a letdown.

The location was amazing. The communication with the company running the rental was excellent. The check-in and checkout process was very slick and really very well done. The apartment was very clean and nicely appointed. It also felt very secure and safe. It was however a bit “well used” and being that it is listed as “Luxury” and a price tag to match, we were a bit disappointed in just how “used” it felt. For “Luxury” we expected a bit more attention to detail. The fridge freezer was completely frozen and the door for it wouldn't even close. As well as the cupboard door to it not being properly secured and dented and didn’t close properly. Our biggest complaint would be that the wording used in the apartment description is misleading. "2 Bathrooms" & "1 separate WC" Personally, this to us (maybe as Canadians) meant that there was more than one Toilet. It's one of the reasons we chose this apartment. When you go to the amenities page for the apartment it even lists THREE toilets. We also think (and again, maybe we are being to picky) but when an apartment advertises itself as "Luxury 2 Bedroom" is it too much to ask that the drapes covering the glass divide between the two rooms actually be big enough and long enough to create actual privacy between the two rooms.
