Hotel agréable très bien placé
Publié le 9 mars 2016 sur HotelsNous sommes restés une nuit et avons beaucoup apprécié cet hotel. L'accueil est excellent, l'hôtel est design, les chambres spacieuses. Arrivés à 10h nous avons pu avoir une chambre alors que les arrivées se font habituellement à partir de 14h. Super quartier

We were not happy with the hotel. The staff were lovely very friendly and very helpful, however the condition of the rooms given the price is not acceptable - the state room for the price was too expensive - only one vanity sink in a big bathroom
The curtains were falling off their hooks, the carpet dirty, the iron was not in good condition and left stains on my husbands white shirt, the breakfasts were very minimal, dishes piled up in the sink, staff washing cups etc there in the breakfast area… no dishwasher ?? Not enough staff at breakfast to clear the plates from the tables for the turnover of guests coming down for breakfast, no receipt of payment given to us on the day of leaving - and still waiting for it to be emailed to me. Unfortunately we had an unpleasant experience at The Hougoumont and will not be coming again to the hotel or recommending it to anyone. But as I mentioned your staff were all lovely and friendly.

Great little hotel in the heart of Freo. Nice little evening touch with a free drink and help yourself snacks in open back bar area. Unfortunately the continental breakfast is very 'hit and miss'and a bit of a shambles to be honest. We had two breakfasts ,each time we had to ask for milk, butter and even water for the kettle for tea. Its basically toast and jam ,the bread may have seen better days.
