Large bedroom. Bathroom to refurbish

Publié le 22 nov. 2015 sur HotelsNous avions un bruit à chaque mise en marche de notre chaudière. Et vers 5 h du matin un bruit énorme pendant plus d'une heure provenant peut être de la tuyauterie.
En ce qui concerne la restauration, nous avons bien apprécié.

Publié le 12 déc. 2023 sur HotelsHave stayed a few times over the years, the room was nice, but could do with a make over, and the shower needs something doing with it, it isn't a walk in shower, more like a climb in. Food in the restaurant was delicious, even though there wasn't a big choice, it was all delicious, the chef even made fresh apple sauce for one of the party. Hopefully next time we stay, we will see a difference min the room

New owners taken over don't be fooled by reviews!

I didn't experience 8.5 service!
On arrival place fully locked up, sign on the door, list of names, room numbers and keys in each door. Help yourself attitude to the letter and list.
I had room 7. Cleanish but a strong damp musty smell. Damp in the walls I suspect, carpet rotting or breaking up. Bit run down in places generally.
I paid extra £10 a morning for breakfast. No where near worth the money, terrible service at breakfast as well.
Evening meal is ok but not much choice, expect to have something with chips!
Bed was comfortable seemed clean and the location means it's quiet here. Those being the main bonus to this stay.
Free parking free WiFi also a bonus.
When I mentioned my experience I was told they've just been taken over. All prior reviews are for the previous owners / business operator.
So beaware things could get better or be just as bad.

Comfortable stay

Plenty of free parking.
Pub excellent for food and real ale.
