The room was fine, but the lobby had a strange smell. The pool was green and had algae in it, plus they said no smoking in the hotel itself. As a result,the outside of the hotel was littered with cigarettes butts. We only stayed one night, and breakfast was supposed to be open for everyone by 7am, but still wasn't ready by 8am, so we checked out and ate breakfast elsewhere.

Don't plan on eating breakfast, first day we came down, 30 mins. after it was to be served, 7:30 to 9 am, there was nothing to eat left and no one restocking, we had to go out to get breakfast. 2nd Day: Come down at 8 am, nothing was prepared, and there was leftover sausage gravy left out from the day before.That was gross. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay it was clean and nice.

The only redeeming quality of this hotel, is that it’s about a 10 minute drive from Dollywood, & the view of the mountains is pleasant. The entrance can be extremely difficult to get in & out of if traffic on the main road is bad. And when we arrived, we walked into the room we booked was dirty… really dirty! So we had to wait a little while, to get another room. And when we got our new room, our new room keys didn’t work all the time. So we went to the front desk to get new ones, & those didn’t work consistently either. The breakfast was lack luster, & honestly salty. And the breakfast area was so bland & outdated. Honestly, you could find more cheer in a graveyard! The whole place is outdated & dirty! The elevators are run down, all of the carpets in the building are smelly & dirty, our AC barely worked, running with bulls would be easier than getting new towels, & the new tiny towels we finally got, were dirty. We didn’t get in either pool out of fear of turning into the creature from the black lagoon. Because each pool area was uniquely disgusting. You better have good cell service, because the Wi-Fi was basically nonexistent. We could only be on it for maybe 10 minutes at a time before it randomly cut out. And we’d have to connect, & reconnect all the time. After going out several times, each time we returned to discover that our room was never cleaned. Needless to say, but if we ever come back to Pigeon Forge, we’re never going back to Vista Sours.

Our room assigned to us was occupied and had personal items in it and unmade bed. The front desk worker spoke in a mumble and hard to understand her. She made us wait several minutes even after I told her about the room situation. Our room smelled of mustiness. There was no remote control to tv. No bag for dirty laundry. Walls were needing repair with visible plaster on the walls and was very puffy probably from a leak.

We had to switch rooms 8 times as rooms had ants and extreme water damage. Pools were not kept and as a result closed. Repairs are needed.
