Was a wonderful experience . The staff is wonderful. The food is very very Good. The 2 Safari per day was fantastic. Our ranger is the best one - Ruan . Pronia is a cheerful employee. Congratulations đđđ
the lodge is just beautiful, the animals walk around the property and are very easy to see.
the rooms (luxury suites) are very well equipped and decorated.
Staff is super friendly and helpful; food options are plenty and very tasty and the game drives are very well organized.
I would like to express how I appreciate this lodge, I would highly recommend this Lodge to the people who planned to travel to Philanesberg Safari Park.
Staff service are good, very comfortable, high quality on cleanliness.
Perfect vacation, perfect schedule with morning and evening safaris. Relaxing during the day at the pool. Delicious food and a lot of animals in the âgardenâ in front of the lodge! The Luxury Suites were simply amazing. We loved it.
The service staff was amazing. Had I gone just to relax it would have been an excellent place to stay. However, I was disappointed with the two daily safari trips we went on for we saw very few animals. the Park recently had a huge fire and i believe the animals must have left or perished.
What an amazing experience. The lodge is beautiful-including great upgrades such as an infinity pool and wellness spa all nestled in a picture perfect bushveld setting.
Every single member of staff were incredible. They were so friendly and helpful, always wanting to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We thank them for all that they did for us.
And special thanks to Dolfi our guide who took us around the reserve on our game drives. His energy and passion made every second special. Not only did we see such amazing animals, but Dolfi also took time to share in the conservation efforts and the spectacular plants and wildlife. His knowledge is fascinating and compassion for his guests and ensuring their enjoyment was refreshing.
Thank you Black Rhino Lodge!
Had a great stay here, very attentive staff, although reception administration could use a little training. Cabins were wonderful, large and full of character. Game drivers do their best to find animals but there are no guarantees . Remember youâre in the middle of the African bush, wi-fi is spotty and the power goes out briefly, donât be a baby!
The temperature was 37 C (100F) the air-condition in my unit was broken. I wasn't told about that and the management expected me to stay in the room because "this is Africa". I had to raise a hell so that they found a room for me in a nearby Lodge. But schlepping around from one Lodge to the other destroyed my one day visit. Additionally the two safari trips were disappointing. The guide gave the impression that all he is interested in is to pass the time and if we don't see animals - never mind.
We spent here one night and had two game drives. The location is very easily to reach from Johannesburg and the lodge is a few kilometers after the corresponding gate of Pilanesberg park.
I booked online and then I asked some information by email before my arrival. People started bouncing among them my email (I started receiving emails from random people putting someone else in cc and telling him/her to answer me). This aspect can be improved.
The lodge is composed by a central building where meals are served and then by separate bungalows very spacious. Our bungalow (number 3) needed some minor maintenance: the door to the patio was difficult to open/close, the patio itself was full of dust/soil. Lightening could have been improved.
The food was good.
The two rangers we went out with were very knowledgeable and they did not hesitate to extend the duration of our drive when they thought there were good chances to see something interesting/new. We actually saw elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos, gnus, antelopes...
